Booked a boxing day meal and room for the night, the hotel looks great, and the room was lovely the sofa bed that our daughter used was very tired though and wasn't the best. Food for the meal nothing special though, service was hit and miss, slow. The breakfast after a good night's sleep was horrendous clearly had reheated/recooked yesterday's sausage as they was dried out and black/burnt can't believe they made it out the kitchen in such a state. No balck pudding or hash browns. This was included in our room price so paid for a full breakfast in reality it was a part breakfast. Heard good things but missed expectations by a long way.

Absolutely stunning walking in with the Christmas decorations, the atmosphere was buzzing and very busy for 5.30, we were hoping to have a pre-dinner drink but no where to sit. We were told table not ready and left a little high and dry but the. Staff came back to say table ready. Once other members of our party arrived they were told table not ready and they went and stood in bar, I eventually went looking for them. Food was very disappointing, all guests found it to be very salty which was not acceptable with the price paid. We feel a little forgotten by staff and had to ask to order drinks. Just didnt seem the usual Bridge Hotel of old!!

We had our wedding here in October 2025 and for us it was the most perfect day! We picked the venue for the warm loving feel, the brilliant staff and location and the food of course! Firstly the location and rooms were brilliant, from staying the night before and getting that all important comfort and sleep, getting ready in the morning with all of my bridesmaids (6 of them) and photographer and 2 hairdressers! There was plenty of space, our breakfast was delivered and served to us, whilst my hubby to be ate his in the restaurant, there plenty of plug sockets, space and mirrors for it all to go amazingly smooth! The staff from our wedding planner Amber, who was always communicating with us throughout and checking in and answering my endless questions and making sure we had everything in place for our special day! Then, to our “do all and be all” on the day, our event manager and coordinator Cyrill, and of course every single staff member in between (we stayed there 3 days so there were a lot), the bar staff, the waiters, the cleaners, reception. Just everyone, with a smile on their face and polite manner the whole time. We didn’t have to lift a finger or even think for ourselves, Cyrill knew where, when and what we needed to do, so that we didn’t have to and they literally made the day perfect. All of our guests said that they need a Cyrill for their future weddings and just generally in everyday life! We cannot thank him enough. The food, was one of the main reasons why we chose the venue, we wanted to make sure that we had a good hearty 3 course meal that was luxurious and delicious as well as filling people up. We had the tomato soup to start and everyone said “that’s not just tomato soup that’s amazing!” Then the Lamb shoulder roast and when I say every single plate was cleared… EVERY SINGLE PLATE WAS CLEARED. This was also true with the veggie option which was the Parmesan and mushroom tagliatelle! The for dessert we had the best sticky toffee pudding we have ever had and from then on and across the whole night, the food was one of our biggest compliments we got from the day, we had a multi gold medal Team GB rower in our wedding party so if we could keep him full from the day and evening food we knew it was a hit haha. Then the evening reception too (of course) went without a single hitch. The staff did amazing to keep the drinks flowing, the rooms tidy and the guests well fed! With a mixture of sofas, armchairs and chairs and tables there was a place for everyone to relax, as well as the outside being covered and the heaters on so guests were also happy to stay outside… in October/November! The evening food was the hot Buffett and again no complaints and clear plates! Honestly I could write a 10,000 word dissertation on why The Old Bridge made our wedding day so perfect! All we heard all day was “you two look so happy” and that was because all we needed to do was be in the moment and everyone and everything else worked like clockwork because of the staff around us! Every single guest noticed it and were in awe of how amazing you all were. Honestly we will be forever grateful!!

They were professional, efficient and friendly throughout and made the wedding weekend perfect . I can't complement the staff enough nor thank them enough for making my sons wedding weekend so perfect. Their service was impeccable , the food was impeccable, and their attitude unbelievable. An absolute top venue for a wedding with nothing to complain about. Thank you for making my sons wedding so special.

Don't let the 3 star rating concern you. This Hotel punched way above that! We recently stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed exceptional service throughout the hotel. An excellent dining experience for dinner and breakfast. The Old Bridge has an excellent atmosphere with real charm. There are a few foibles but nothing to spoil the stay and charisma of the hotel. very special mentions to Chrissy at breakfast, Cyril at dinner, the reception team, Bryron, (who is new but are real talent and finally to Alison who make sure you are always looked after and sets the tone for a great stay!

First time coming to this hotel and had the most amazing lunch! Jess was an absolute star! Very friendly, very accommodating, and extremely helpful and patience I might add! Thank you so much Jess! Food was amazing! Served fresh, hot, and quickly! Definitely will fly all the way back from the States for the meal and for Jess service! Also, the wine shop is/was the most serendipitous shock to the entire visit! It is a must while you at site! Thank you Old Bridge!

Special mention to the lovely Alison who was wonderful throughout the evening and at breakfast the next day. I also had the pleasure of staying the night and the room and facilities were excellent. Had anniversary dinner for 25 of us, was given beautiful room which was laid out lovely with name cards. Our events manager Cyril was amazing friendly welcoming and catered for our every need. Never had to ask for anything as he was there b4 we had to....he genuinely cared we had good time. Food came out promptly with everyone eating at once, very tasty and pleasing to eye. All in all a wonderful afternoon and wouldn't hesitate to recommend,
