Pick another firm I was in 2 minds as to whether to use Wooliscrofts, or another firm. How I wish I’d made a different decision. Wooliscrofts have been totally inadequate in their services surrounding my family court case. They are unable to take ownership of mistakes and instead choose to provide excuses when said errors are uncovered rather than resolve things by taking accountability. When ceasing the agreement with Wooliscrofts, they were advised to liaise with my partner rather than myself who was the subject of the case and in an extremely vulnerable condition. Instead, Wooliscroft not only chose to completely ignore this request, but proceeded to continue to hound myself for completed forms despite having my partner's contact details and having been asked to communicate with him, which has caused significant emotional damage to me at an already difficult time. Wooliscrofts have proven to be nothing short of glorified administration assistants. Following my review of Wooliscrofts on another site, and my formal complaint; the firm actually used the formal complaint response to not only highlight in yellow, but in caps lock also, that I should consider my own review inappropriate & should take it down. This firm cares only about image and not taking care of their clients, and the reviews they consider ‘appropriate’ are only those which praise them. The complaint will now be escalated to the Legal Ombudsman.

Went to a local , reputable firm of solicitors to set up my LPA , to get done properly, to have no issues or stress . WRONG , I am now on the third attempt to get it registered correctly, First draft was not witnessed, solicitor forgot to sign it.This I only found out myself by visiting the office and asking why I had not received it . Kept being told it would follow on. Second was completed and registered. Only to find that it was incorrect, so is invalid . Am now on third attempt , more stress and waiting to get things sorted. Almost a year now , not resolved and I've paid a solicitor thinking ,it would be straight forward, all correct, no issues ,wrong again .

23rd November 2024 we engaged Woolliscrofts to do the conveyancing on our parents home....a good name, longstanding, respected company. We were aiming for the January auction and all looked well. Initial forms weren't sent out until January so no hope obviously of the January sale, then we had other forms not being sent out to us and needing us to remind them, phone calls went unanswered or not replied to for days causing delays, asking us for various proof documents that they've already received from us long ago, searches were mentioned in January but nothing done about it, I was then told the searches had been applied for on the morning of 7th Feb, I called later that day to find they hadnt at all and that the searches needed paying for before they could apply for them..... the next sale is 4 weeks away! So many people dealing with it, one not knowing what the other has done. We went from getting the house into the January auction, to the March auction..... I was told " I hope so". Needless to say the March sale came and went due to no legal pack available due to no search results. The searches came back and the house finally went in the April sale.

Very poor. Ref. To our late Mothers Will, which was quite straightforward. We had prior done a lot of the work required, which was commented on. It took over 5months before even applying for probate and only when we chased things up ourselves did we miraculously within 3 days have paperwork sent to us to sign so probate could be applied for. Continually left in the dark. Never able to speak to anyone. A stressful time only made worse by their action (lack off). Could and should have been finalised a lot earlier. Highly unlikely to use this company (solicitor) again

Shocking service, rude, awkward, unresponsive, abrupt, no empathy, will never use again.

Our vendors used this firm. When there were hurdles in the chain it seemed their approach was that if they didn't know the answer, or didn't want to answer, they simply ignored the question. Very difficult to move forward without communication!

We were recommended this firm for the sale of our home. On entering to try and make an appointment three female members of staff were behind reception discussing Internet shopping two in their early 20's and one a more mature lady with glasses when they realised my presence they stopped. The mature lady then abruptly said "Can I help" not even a "Hello" I explained what we were looking for when the telephone rang instead of letting one of the others answer it she looked down and took the call, I looked at the two young ladies who rolled their eyes, at this point I thought how rude and if this is the way clients or prospective clients are treated I would rather find a company who will appreciate my business and walked out, I certainly would not recommend this company and have now found another solicitors.
