First parked here to attend beats and eats festival in 2024, it's a short walk through the park into the town centre. Seems a very nice park but not much to see. There is a small playpark next to the car park and there are public toilets but it's a urinal for men and a shared toilet (as in men or women can use it).

An open park with free car parking . Nice walks along the Shimna River with open views of the Mourne Mountains and Slieve Donard. It also gives access to Newcastle main street by crossing river bridge and Shimna Road.
