My daughter has been with Kings Dance Academy since it opened its doors. She likes going and has met a lot of nice people. I also attend the parents classes when they are ok and I enjoy them. I highly recommend King’s Dance Academy. Teachers are great with the kids.
My daughter has been dancing at Kings for several years. Miss King and the teachers are all very welcoming and offer many opportunities, but without any pressure. My daughter started with just Tap, but has recently found a real passion for dance and now does Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Acro and tumbling, and is part of the Performance Team and Festival team. She calls the Kings Studio her ‘happy place’!
I’m truly happy to have chosen this dance school for our daughter. From the very first day, she felt welcomed into a professional yet warm and family-like environment. The teachers are knowledgeable, passionate, and attentive, sharing their love for dance. My daughter has gained self-confidence and a great sense of teamwork. The classes are well-structured and engaging. What I love about this dance school is that it’s never boring—there’s always something new and fun happening throughout the year! They organize summer and Easter camps, Halloween and Christmas parties, mental health awareness weeks, and take part in parades and festivals. There are always performances and musicals too. There’s always a chance to challenge yourself, grow, have fun, and feel like part of a big family. I highly recommend King's Academy to anyone looking for professionalism, passion, and a positive environment where children can express themselves and grow to their full potential.
My daughter has been attending for 2 years now and is loving her dance classes. The team of dance teachers have supported her to grow in confidence and I love watching her grow. There are lots of additional activities to take part in should they wish. The classes are small and personal, in comparison to a different school we tried perviously. Improvisation is encouraged in classes to help build confidence and my daughter loves this alongside learning set routines.
My daughter joined Kings in September 2022, as a shy 8 year old who wanted to try out dance classes for the first time. She started with street dance and musical theatre classes as well as acro/tumbling but over the months has grown and grown and now attends Lyrical, Modern and Team dance classes too. Since then, she has auditioned and been placed onto two teams within Kings - Diamonds Street Competition Team and the Performance Team. The opportunities that King’s has given my daughter over the last year and a half have been unreal. She has danced and placed in many competitions, danced for poorly children at Alder Hey hospital at Christmas, as well as plenty of Christmas markets, field days and lights switch ons. Miss King has taken her performance team to dance at Drayton Manor and Alton Towers which was so much fun for all. There have been medal tests, ISTD exams, summer schools, work shops, awards ceremonies to name a few but most recently my daughter starred a lead role in Shrek the Musical which was produced by Miss King. It was amazing and the confidence I saw shine from my daughter as she took to the stage was such an overwhelming feeling and I have got Miss King and her wonderful teachers to thank for that. If you are looking for an academy where all parents and teachers are approachable and friendly, and you feel more like a dance family then this is the one for you. I drive 30 minutes away 4x a week for my daughter to attend this academy and will continue to do so as she progresses because I genuinely believe there isn’t a better school out there that is as friendly, welcoming and has such great opportunities for the children. There is a huge variety of different classes and they do offer classes for adults too. I can’t wait to see what more comes from my daughter as she grows with Kings.
King’s Dance Academy really is the best dance school around! My daughter, age 4, has been dancing at kings for almost 2 years now and she absolutely loves it. The range of classes is fantastic, something for everyone. There’s always an opportunity to perform, whether it be in shows or competitions. Miss King has a fantastic team of teachers who are very helpful and always have the time for you and your child. They are extremely supportive and encourage your child to do their best. I wouldn’t send my children anywhere else!
My children have danced here for nearly 3 years now, they have tried out all different types of dancing and they love it. They have both made so many new friends since joining and they have grown so much with kings and have so much confidence now. 100% recommend this dance school the teachers and staff are all lovely and even made some new mum friends along the way. ❤️
It’s hard to put into words how good kings is but… The kings team are professional & passionate about dance within their teaching. Miss king is always reachable whenever a query or question needs answering. The opportunities the children have you wouldn’t get anywhere else. From competitions, to shows & summer schools. Uniforms are fabulous & affordable. Every new child is welcomed into class not only from the teachers but the children too. There is no judgment at kings if I could give more than 5 stars I would
The best dance school in the area. My children dance 5 nights a week at Kings. The teachers are wonderful, and my children always come out of their classes with big smiles. Highly recommend Kings.
