   Absent Friends went above and beyond looking after my three cats, especially one with a poorly tummy, on a recent trip abroad. Barbara spent a lot of time getting to know my cats and home prior to my trip. She is so professional, taking notes, sending email updates, and leaving the house really tidy. She even watered the garden in the heatwave! I knew my home and pets were in safe and responsible hands while I was away. Highly recommend and will certainly use again!

   I am a proud owner of 3 fur babies & am particularly fussy about their care. I have a cat & a rabbit who are bonded & didn't want to split them up in boarding, plus a hamster. My cat was recently diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism, & suffered all the side effects from the medication, so was concerned for his well being whilst I was going to be away. My pets are used to a lot of love & attention. I found Absent Friends on a local noticeboard, I met with Barbara (several times). She made extensive notes, took on board everything I said & I have to say that she did the most amazing job. I came home to happy animals, that had clearly not worried about us being away. The sores that the cat had before I left had been treated with the medication provided & were looking a lot better, plus he had gained his weight back again. I believe they had been completely pampered & that Barbara had loved them as though they were her own. Will definitely use this company again and will recommend highly.

   Great service, my very shy cat loved her! Able to give medication as well as feeding, plus putting out the recycling out, collecting post etc etc. I feel reassured to know my cats and home are in good hands while I'm away.

   We recently used this company to look after our dogs whilst we attended a family event, unfortunately during the evening two of our dogs were left unattended and subsequently escaped. Although this was a mistake and of course not a malicious act from the staff, their blatant disregard for the event since has been appalling. We have been blamed numerous times for the infrastructure within our garden, and time after time it has been insinuated it was our fault that they made this mistake. It is regrettable that this company fail to take any responsibility for their work and ultimately reflects their complete disregard for the the pets in their care. This company has continued to astound me with their response to this event and I genuinely worry about the pets they care for, for future clients. A simple mistake has turned into victim blaming and hostility. I would consider another company.
