Already left in Trust pilot, however I'm making sure people are aware of rip offs. My wife went to buy a sofa bed for one of the spare rooms. Everything was going ok until being informed it was going to be Β£129 to deliver. Not even allowed to collect unless you pay in full? The reply was even better from the store after the review. Our delivery team assemble everything when they deliver?? So now suites are coming in flat pack are they? We got sorted from another retailer including a delivery charge of Β£35. Shop around don't get robbed.

As a first-time buyer, I came to DFS genuinely excited to invest in my first piece of proper furniture. Unfortunately, that excitement quickly turned into frustration and disappointment. From the moment I walked in, it felt like I wasnβt taken seriously. As a younger customer, I was clearly overlooked in favor of older shoppers, and staff seemed dismissive and uninterested in helping me. But the real issue was the constant lying and misleading information. I was promised certain delivery dates, told items were in stock when they werenβt, and reassured again and again that everything was βon track.β None of it was true. Every time I followed up, I got a different excuse β from vague supplier issues to random βdelaysβ no one could explain. It honestly felt like they were just making it up as they went along. Worse still, no one ever took accountability. I wasnβt offered any proper updates unless I chased them down myself, and even then, it felt like I was being brushed off. At no point did I feel like a valued customer β just a number on a screen they could lie to and forget. DFS really needs to do better, especially when dealing with young buyers trying to establish themselves. Weβre not stupid, and we deserve the same honesty and respect as anyone else. I will never shop here again, and Iβll be warning others to avoid the same experience.

Great experience from start to finish. So glad we went to DFS after cancelling our order with SCS (who changed the delivery date for a corner unit 4 times!). DFS had lots of choice in the showroom and no pushy sales staff. We were given a delivery date and the sofa was delivered on time, as promised! Great quality, good prices, brilliant sales team. We're very happy and would definitely recommend.

Pleanty of nice sofas and not too heavy on the sales "can I help?" "Anything you need?" Stalking stuff which was good.

Was told no longer collect existing old sofa which is a load of rubbish they do. I spoke to dfs main telephone number and the confirmed they do collect old sofa for a fee. I was told clearly in store they don't. Too busy trying to get me to buy care package rather than what I needed. Very angry as I've just had a stroke so dfs told me British Heart Foundation will collect. I had to lift a very heavy chair to find the fire label before they would collect. Not happy would rather have paid DFS to collect as after a stroke I shouldn't be lifting furniture which I had to to find the fire label. Not happy and considered cancelling my order. Too bothered about selling add ons.

I would give no stars if I could, terrible customer service, ordered a bed in August, still not received, having to call for updates, put in an official complaint and was told I would receive a call on Sunday as I work full time Monday-Friday no call received, they did leave me a voicemail whilst at work and text asking me to call back, I called back after work to be told no notes have been left on the system and he did not know why they had called me, because I received the mattress back in August which is still in the box - what use is a mattress without the bed payments have already been taken, I wish somebody could just tell me when I will receive the bed or could I cancel ???

Went to the store today, more staff than sofas, acknowledged on entering the store but ignored thereafter. Staff seemed completely unaware of customers. Five staff stood around, needless to say we left and will just order online. Perhaps the casual clothing is a direct reflection of the attitude.

Disgusting I have to give any star rating at all to be able to leave a review. Absolutely shocking customer service today when I went in to purchase a new sofa set. All staff were to busy sniffing around customers who wanted credit then myself who was just looking for a quick in and out cash buy.The female staff member I finally found after being in the shop ages said she was busy but would send someone to assist me, 20 minuets more later I was still waiting so walked out.Shops wonder why people prefer to now shop on line than go in store, thatβs definitely what Iβll be doing in future, total waste of time driving there today.
