My baby boy loved it here. He always left happy and looking and smelling gorgeous. He was nervous of groomers due to a bad experience with a groomer (since gone thank goodness) who'd almost shaved him. However this place was great with my boy and he lost his nervousness about groomers soon after.
I was unaware that Muddy Paws is under new ownership. I had regular taken my dog to get her claws cut. Under the old ownership this had been quick and efficient with care focussed on my dog. The process this time took longer and I was then told that the cost had increased by 100%. Worse than this, on leaving the shop I could see that my dog had claws that had bled. This never happened in the past and I will not be returning.
I have been using the Muddy Paw for several years now and cannot recommend them highly enough. The grooming is excellent, the establishment very well run and my Doodles always come home looking lovely and seem relaxed and happy with their experience. The recent posts regarding the kennel cough are unfortunate and I would like to point out that as kennel cough has an incubation period of up to two weeks and that some dogs can carry the infection for months without any symptoms, it is not always apparent that an animal is infected. In my experience the girls at The Muddy Paw have only ever been friendly, polite, always helpful .... and most importantly my dogs love them!
I have no complaints about the service we received however I have been up all night with my dog who has caught kennel cough from The Muddy Paw. When we called to inform them they got defensive and point blank refused to accept our dog has been made ill by coming to them, he does not socialise with other dogs so could not have caught it like that and two other dogs I know who have visited in the last couple weeks have also caught kennel cough and our dog has not been around them either. I understand it’s very difficult to contain as it is so contagious but the complete ignorance from The Muddy Paw when informed about our dogs condition was disgusting and no apology was given, I will not be returning, for your dogs health and safety avoid this place.
My parents took their two dogs for grooming two weeks ago and a few days after they both developed kennel cough. They had only been in the garden and not near any other dogs so certain this has come from The Muddy Paw. We took our own dog this Saturday 5th June (unaware of my parents situation at the time) and he has also developed kennel cough three days after. Again he has not been near any dogs or any other places apart from The Muddy Paw. I put a call in to The Muddy Paw this morning to make them aware, however they were instantly defensive about the situation and argued that it could not have come from them. Not happy with the manner I was dealt with and I certainly will not be using The Muddy Paw again.

The Muddy Paw was highly recommended. I had to wait a bit for my turn but it was well worth it. The Boy was returned to me beautifully trimmed and tidied up, he was really happy. I like the way the staff are with the dogs, you can tell that they really do love being around animals. I'm happy to book The Boy back in and will definitely recomend The Muddy Paw. Thank you.
