St Ives School in Haslemere is the most incredible friendly school, set in beautiful grounds with an inspiring view, complete with its own woodland that houses a brilliant forest school. The real magic of the school begins in the class rooms, my daughter has the most amazing teacher (and teaching assistants) who create perfect environments to learn - the atmosphere is unbelievably positive and encouraging; it is fun but completely calm; the work is focused on each individual's style of learning and at just the right level to get the very best out of each pupil. In this wonderful environment my daughter's self confidence has improved dramatically and all the girls in her class are a delight and they all love going to school. St Ives just explodes with activity in all areas - excellent academics, sport, music, drama, languages, music, art are all prioritised and are all to an incredibly high standard. St Ives School and The Ivies Nursery really are Haslemere's hidden secret.

My little girl's first experiece in "school" was at the St Ives nursery, which she loved ever since the taster day, from which she did not want to come away! Having toured a few nurseries, the breadth and diversity of activities on offer was compelling together with the safe and encouraging environment, which promoted both independence and proper socialisation. She couldn't wait to be a "reception girl" this year and as the academic year closes, she has flourished both socially and in her "school work". It was important to us as parents that the school environment focus on learning but also, at this age, making it fun to learn, and I can safely say that the school has exceeded our expectations in this regard. This has to be attributed to the teachers who really do care about the girls and work hard to get the very best out of them - no mean feat!! Together with this, the small class sizes and personal attention that each girl receives is fantastic and our daughter's progress has been remarked upon by other parents with similar age children. The girls have a wide variety of activities and projects outside of pure academics that serves to increase their curiosity of the world we live in, and manners and positive values are also instilled in the girls day to day, which are an important part of the St Ives ethos. The biggest testament to the school has to be that she can't wait to get to school, every single day.

Our daughter started in nursery at St. Ives in 2012 and has never looked back. She's now in Year 2 and thriving. The school is set in beautiful surroundings, the Teachers are caring, passionate, nurturing and truly 'interested' in each and every child. I've heard the school referred to as "a hidden gem" and that is truly what it is....as a family we really do feel like we're part of something special. It's amazing to see the girls grow and develop into confident, energised young ladies developing their own identities and beliefs as they progress through the years ready for secondary school. Visit St Ives, meet some of the girls and I guarantee you'll be hooked!

My daughter joined St Ives last September entering into Reception Class at a very young 4 years old. During her first year she has gone from strength to strength emotionally and most importantly in her learning thanks to the outstanding tailor made teaching she and every girl in her class receive on a daily basis. Her appetite to learn has also increased ten fold thanks to her wonderful teachers who nurture and encourage her. The pre prep facilities and clubs on offer have also opened her eyes to a whole new world. She has made many wonderful new friends and truly loves every single day at school. The girls throughout the entire school are all extremely polite, courteous and helpful. The school's recent ISI "Excellent" rating is very well deserved. St Ives is an absolute gem of a school and I really couldn't recommend it highly enough to any new parent considering a single sex pre and prep school education.

I have two daughters at St Ives and they could not be happier! There is amazing camaraderie and support between the girls and, in fact, the whole school community. The environment is warm and welcoming, with an open door policy for parents. Not only are the girls' academic achievements fantastic (due to great, individually-tailored teaching and, in the upper years, real support towards senior school entrance exams) but their all round social and emotional education is second to none. The school thoroughly deserves its "Excellent" ISI accreditation and is a really unique find amongst a wealth of independent school options in the area.
