Wish I could leave a higher score. She started off well having been recommended but increasingly very difficult to deal with. Didn’t answer phone calls or reply to emails. Showed no empathy towards my circumstances whatsoever. Caused me to have to rent and pay 2 removals expenses due to their total lack of communication and understanding. They lied and said I hadn’t signed things when I had made a 140 mile trips to do so. Their service apart from one lovely lady on the desk is abysmal. Sorry to give a negative report but I wouldn’t want anyone else to have to experience the service and frustrations I did. This is also echoed by the estate agents that once recommended her.

Unfortunately, since first using Jackie Scott Ltd in 2019, their levels of service and business ethics seem to have completely plummeted. I’d been trying since last November to get work done on a new lease for a property. However, virtually every email sent into them got ignored, despite me knowing they had definitely received them (as I had got "read receipts" showing when emails were opened). After finally getting an initial response several months later, new plans were drawn up by a third party and sent into them in March, but these were also ignored with no action being taken. Any time I rang up to find out what was happening about the lack of action, including leaving several messages on their answering machine, no one ever bothered to call me back. At one point in August when I rang up, I was told the file was on Jackie’s desk as she was dealing with it, and that I’d get an update in the next few days. Nothing was ever done, so I rang again a month later to ask what was happening and to comment about how unhappy I was about the lack of action. I was told I’d get an email by the end of the week. Again, nothing happened, so regrettably their staff seem to lie as well as not bothering to follow their own complaints procedure. I even hand delivered a page long letter of complaint setting out all the numerous times in the last year they’d not bothered acting on any communication, and the response 2 days later was a short email apologising for the fact that “their service on this occasion has fallen below standard”. Which isn’t much of an apology for the multiple times their service has been non-existent, let alone trying to explain why their service has been so abysmal, nor does it make any attempt to say they recognise the problems they have and what steps they’d take to try and improve. At all times I’ve been very polite and professional in all my communications so the fact they couldn’t be bothered to do the actual work, as well as the complete lack of care and attention in simple office tasks such as returning phone calls and keeping someone updated, means I’m no longer wasting my time with them and have found a professional firm elsewhere.
Used Jackie Scott and her team for our house sale and purchase in Bognor Regis and she is the best property lawyer I have ever dealt with. She kept in contact the whole time, she was really helpful with the complicated process (we were in a chain of 18 in the end!!) but everything went so well. I have bought and sold a few times and Jackie was the first person to ever explain everything in layman's terms and was so so helpful with our every need. I highly recommend her and her team.
I was recommended Jackie Scott, for the sale of my property, I wish I never went with this company. Very unprofessional, lack of communication, even though I complained twice about lack of communication, nothing changed, at 1 point there was no communication from them for over 3 months. I was the one contacting them to find out what was happening over the 8 month period, in the chain, I was told its not there job to find out information and to ask our estate agent. Lacked understanding, I would not recommend them to anyone.
