Can't even get booked in for my scheduled smear test online because there are no appointments, and when I tried calling the surgery the telephone line is closed even though it's supposed to be open for at least another hour. Absolute joke

Terrible system. I wanted a simple appointment and I tried using the online system. Irrelevant questions and I need a female doctor. There was no option for this. I called instead, but had to go through the same rigmarole of questions. It took 5 times as long and it is wasting precious time of the staff and patients to get where they need to be. No wonder there are queues and frustrated people. There is no personal service and privacy anymore. You used to book an appointment, no problem, not get asked what for by the receptionist, and get and appointment to see the doctor and you privately discuss your conditions. So many people, older people especially, will find this system hard to use. This is a bad move in my and many others opinions. I hope someone realises this. Luckily the lady I spoke to was helpful, i feel very sorry for the staff.

Using their online Klinic system is fabulous. All surgeries are set up to use these systems now. I contacted the surgery today online...recieved a return call within 2 mins. I now have an appointment set up. Staff are always so helpful and efficient.

I'm so impressed by our over worked, under funded FREE healthcare surgery. Everyone of the GPs, reception, pharmacy and behind the scenes teams do a fantastic job. We need to start showing some gratitude, instead of being so negative. Because if it went away. You'd be complaining then... Thank you all at Holderness Health for your continued support. You are all very appreciated.

The reception staff here show no empathy whatsoever, I've always been pleased with the doctors. Today after trying to get an appointment online and no one answering the phone I went to the surgery only to be told appointments are only available online. I explained that I tried, TOUGH KEEP TRYING.

Always a good experience even if access is understandably difficult at certain times. That is the nature of the pressures surgeries are under nation wide. But the staff are helpful and friendly and polite. They deserve to be treated with respect. Staff working under pressure and doing their best.

Absolutely shocking! Can never get through on the telephone, I was sat in the doctors and tried calling receptionist laughing and joking behind the counter doing nothing and still high call please wait! Was on hold for 1hr 40min then it cut off! I went back the next day to speak to receptionist about some medication, receptionist sat on her mobile reading a text and said to another lady I better not reply yet or they will know I use my phone at work! Ordered medication and god knows why but I had to go to witherensea to collect it! The doctors is an absolute mess and a joke! I am a full time career and deal with doctors a lot but Hedon is by far the worst I have ever come across!

I have never given a 1 star review before, and would like to make it clear that this rating is for the telephone/contact system, and not a general practice rating. 20 minutes wait only to be told (very apologetically) that they could not put me through directly to the person that a GP had requested me to contact. Advised to ring back after 1.00pm (presumably with another wait) so that my query would be dealt with at Hedon, not Withernsea. So much for the following taken from the Website: "Cross-site calling We will very easily be able to contact colleagues no matter where they are working across all our sites as we are effectively ‘one system’. We won’t need to know exactly which site and which room they are in today in order to reach them."
