This shop is adjacent to Havant Bus Station. On Thursday 9th December 2021, I attempted to return my Hermes parcel using their automated service. First of all, I couldn't find the scanning device and eventually noticed it was on a very low step stool, in a corner, surrounded by boxes. It was so low that I couldn't easily get my phone in position to scan the return code. I then asked the shop assistant for help and she very rudely replied "I don't know how it works". I tried again with the help of my husband but it still didn't work so I asked her again for help but she said she was busy serving another customer so couldn't help us. Her attitude was extremely sullen.. After a long wait (while she continued to ignore me) she eventually came over and told me that it wasn't working. I asked what I should do but she just shrugged her shoulders. With that I left the shop. Why have a Hermes scanner in a shop when the shop assistants don't know how it works or how to help; more to the point, don't want to help. I suggest that Hermes investigate this and ask the manager to move the scanner to a more convenient position and to ask staff to improve their customer service. I will not be using this store again!!
