Although the last GP I saw here was very good, unfortunately I am constantly waiting for repeat prescriptions to be filled as they more often than not take longer than the two working days stated when using the automated prescription service. When occasionally I have needed prescriptions urgently for a diabetic child I have also been met with a haughty attitude on the phone. Another repeat prescription has taken a week to be filled, and when I went to complain online the complaints form didn't work, so here we are.

Kept me on hold for an hour and a half until they were closed and the call was automatically ended. Sent me text messages but there’s no way to respond to them. Absolutely pointless trying to get through to them.

I joined this practice 4 years ago, I try not to use it often as my problems are rarely addressed. 3 yrs ago at 43 I had a heart attack but rarely get any follow ups or bloods despite the medications and other ailments I have. Recently visited with a suspicious skin lesion, a photo was taken to send consultant; I received a TEXT to say they thought it was likely a form of skin cancer and a prescription for chemotherapy cream was sent to pharmacy! After insisting 2 month down the line that I want to see a consultant, it’s been confirmed I don’t have cancer. Having had painful ankles 2 years I’ve discovered two of the medications I’m on are classed as Major risk of harm to be taken together!! I’ve just spoken to a sing songy receptionist who advised the pharmacist can’t speak to me until 16th August!!! Absolute jokers!

Was admitted to Hull Royal on Friday for a suspected TIA/stroke with headaches and numbness - got the all clear and could go home for it to be followed up with the GP to treat underlying symptoms. Have spent the past few days trying to get through only to be told there are 100 callers in the queue and the receptionist stating there are no appointments available and I should try again I have previous history of brain haemorrhage A non functioning spleen and Crohn's disease. This is appalling. How am I supposed to get the follow up care I need and which was requested by the hospital. Not fit for purpose.

I have recently had a few visits to the surgery and the staff are absolutely wonderful, very caring and very thorough. As someone with agorophobia and health anxiety, this has made an absolutely huge difference to how I feel about going to the surgery. It's taken a while to get used to ordering prescriptions on an app but now I'm used to it , it's so easy and quicker than ordering by phone. I also love how I can use the NHS app to scroll through blood results and read the notes from my consultations, which helps me feel involved in my own care. I would have given 5 stars but for the telephone system. I've phoned a few times only to be told there's a 100 in the queue and then getting cut off. Maybe bank staff would be useful when short staffed or maybe there's a way to book an appointment online that I don't know about as yet.

Just popped into Alexandra health centre and felt the need to leave a review. We are always quick to complain but not so fast to give praise. I was seen by a lovely girl called Lisa on reception. She was professional, friendly and quickly sorted my request. Despite being busy I was not rushed and left wanting to give praise where it’s due.

If you're looking for somewhere to register avoid this place like the plague. You spend 2 minutes listening to pre recorded nonsense to be told there's 100 people in the queue and you cant be added. Perhaps if they booked appointments in the future they wouldn't force everyone to ring first thing in the morning. If you do manage to get an appointment you get sent all over Hull and as you can't see the same physician you can expect to be having the same conversations repeatedly, no continuity in care. Really poor.

Not my usual doctors but was given an appointment here as I couldn't get in my regular doctors at the time needed, was seen within 5 mins of my given time by Dr Uzodinma, who was very friendly and helpful and helped advise on a few things I asked about.

They do not care, have been told 'we are not going to do anything to help' and all because a Dr does not know their left from right. 1 Day with a new GP and I get a call to say they have found my test results that this bunch of Charlie's accidentally on purpose could not find (I did wait the time needed). Have been sent for treatment which is then refused because A Dr didn't send me for an MRI. If you are told by these people they cannot refer you for treatment for a problem tell them it is nonsense as NHS England told me your Dr GP holds your medical records and they can, it upsets them to be told this!

I know this won’t be representative of everyone’s experience, but I’ve always found the staff at this surgery to be friendly and helpful. The doctors and nurses are always doing the best they can and have always been great. I’ve been a patient here for 5 years and have three children so have been in contact with them more than any other surgery in the past and have always been happy with the care. This isn’t a comment on Modality as a wider company or the government dismantling of NHS GP surgeries. Thank you.
