I’ve had an excellent experience with my GP. They are incredibly attentive, patient, and genuinely committed to understanding what I’m going through. Every time I’ve had an appointment, I’ve felt listened to, respected, and never rushed β€” something that makes a huge difference when dealing with complex symptoms. They explain everything clearly, take my concerns seriously, and make me feel supported at every step of my care. I truly appreciate their kindness, professionalism, and the sense of trust they inspire. I feel very fortunate to have them as my GP.

Absolutely useless!!! My mum developed a bad all over body rash, visited pharmacy who gave her cream and said she must be seen by her gp ASAP. Went straight to gp surgery, explained what pharmacy said and showed them the rash. Receptionist told her there's no appointments for a week (she's a clever receptionist to as she didn't even check the computer so she must have everything memorised) My mum was told she MAY get an appointment tomorrow if she rings at 8am but we all know that isn't likely to happen! I wouldn't mind but there was 1 person in the surgery the whole time she was there. Hospitals and NHS are over stretched but what's your options when your own surgery can't be bothered to deal with you. We are now sat in UTC waiting to be seen and i am filling in the forms to change surgery. An absolute joke of a surgery!!

I have encountered again to call at 8AM the GP surgery, got in the queue and around queue caller number 4, the phone line dropped. Called again straight after and got queue caller number 26. Besides this issues, since December 2024 the doctors are not able to find the health problems that my son has, despite all tests being done.

I was gaslighted and dismissed by the Dr regarding perimenopause. Sinus problems, allergies etc can become worse as you aren't being protected by oestrogen and this can all be backed up by Dr's who are specialists in the perimenopause etc. Even a simple google search tells you as much. It's one of the symptoms. Also being sensitive to progesterone is a something some women experience which I think I am. Being told do I really need hrt when I am developing osteoarthritis and hrt protects things like this is really disgusting! The nurse I saw was more understanding but you have to see a Dr who doesn't have knowledge in this area. My dosage also could need tweaking.

I wouldn’t leave any stars if I had the choice the staff are appalling. This doctors has really gone down as far as the receptionists are concerned. They are rude and seem to enjoy trying to embarrass people at the desk, I’ve seen people get really angry because of how they are treated by the reception staff. They don’t seem to have any decency and broadcast peoples private business in the surgery to other patients waiting for appointments, when asked to lower her voice one receptionist smiled and said this is me I’m loud. Not suitable for GPs practice at all. Wheeler street used to be a good caring practice and the staff used to be helpful and professional, bring back the old staff members

I have been on the phone now 10mins trying to get through. The receptionists are rude obnoxious and so arrogant. I have been with wheeler st now since birth 30 now. The only reason I haven't changed gp practice is because of Dr Yu. He has always been my doctor and the only one I'll deal with.

Disgraceful service cannot get an appointment at all unless you win the lottery with a phone call and que for 40mins every morning to be told there is no appointments left

Terrible GP practice. My mother used to be registered with them, I remember one time they diagnosed cellulitis over the telephone - it was "scorched leg syndrome", not cellulitis, but they just didn't want to see the patient. Another time she was many months late for a medication review but they didn't get in touch: she was taking blood pressure tablets unnecessarily for months. Some of the doctors are hasty, aggressive and rude. My aunt died while under their care: she had a leg infection which the doctors did not take seriously. She died as a result of the infection. I'm very very glad I don't live in Hull.

Ridiculous and appealing service! It is impossible to book an appointment. Trying for over a week and all they have to say is "No more appointments. Call tomorrow at 8 am". Even asking for appointment for a week ahead gives you the same answer. We went to walk in center and were seen by a doctor within 20 min. Now all the GP needs to do is give us hospital referral.. How do we get that referral when there is no way to speak to a doctor at this GP? It took forever to register with them now I am moving my entire family to another practice!
