   If I’m completely honest, I wouldn’t even put it as 1. My son had been NEGLECTED by these, I had gone in 3 times about the same problem, yet still nothing. They wouldn’t pay attention or even acknowledge what I was saying; claiming how there was ‘nothing concerning’ & he was ‘fine’. Today I was on the phone to Dr Green, he belittled me. Spoke down to me & even told me that I clearly didn’t care enough about my son as we missed an appointment due to my son not being able to sleep for days, I can’t even begin to describe how rude and disgusting he was to me & my son. I’m a young mum, going to the people I’m supposed to for help & this is how they treat me for over a week… It’s disgusting & I will be taking this further.

   My wife and I moved to this practice some 5 months ago and after years of mediocre care I was surprised and delighted at how good this practice is . The staff are practical, polite and efficient and the entire practice comes across as being well run. Health care is never going to be easy in the current climate but the subtle differences brought about by believing you have somebody in your corner for a change is of huge benefit .

   This is absolutely the best, most organised GP practice I have ever been registered at. I have needed ongoing support and reassurance since being very poorly in ICU 4 years ago. They have always been very proactive and have seen me, often at short notice, when needed. Referrals to YDH have been quick and thorough as have their response to online contact. These people have somehow kept me alive and have never let me down. Its a wonderful feeling to be able to have full faith in your medical teams. Thank you all so much for your care and support.

   I’m disgusted in the recent services offered by Pocklington Medical Practice. I’m being denied an item on my prescription that would fundamentally help me with my care and thus save the NHS time and money not having to treat problems yet they aren’t interested even though the NHS’s own website states it’s recommended for people with my condition. They’ve ignored emails, tell me they’ll call back and then don’t and when I finally did get through, it was to a doctor who seemed to have an attitude problem and a motto of ‘that’s your opinion’ whenever facts were stated. The lack of care and empathy is disturbing. I’ve been an avid supporter of the NHS my whole life, they do so much good work but this practice has made me lose all hope and faith in them.

   I have been a patient registered with Pocklington Group Practice for over 30 years and l can honestly and confidently say that through every one of those years l have had the best medical care anyone could have wished for. Every experience l have had with every single doctor and all ancillary staff over the years has been absolutely first class. Pocklington is lucky to have such a wonderful healthcare facility and staffed by such consummate professionals. I have always considered myself very fortunate to have been a patient with the practice. Thank you for the care you give to your patients every day.

   Reception staff are excellent. Kind considerate understanding and genuinely helpful, respond as they say they will. Excemplary. Always had good GP service. Patient and they take the time and effort to inform and explain, thereby easing concern and making subsequent duscussion productive.
