can i just urge students to not rent with simply. the people working there are just insanely rude and dismissive. and the amount of maintenance that has to be carried out is insane. there’s other great places with great prices and simply will never be one of them lol.
Terrible experience with Simply!! Wifi was terrible, and they got annoyed with me and my room mates when we asked to have it upgraded/improved as it got to a point where we were using mobile data every day as the wifi was poor. Constant smell of weed under the stairs, broken table upon arrival which I had to sort the screws back into myself and wasn't informed about the dangers of the area I'd be staying in as my car was vandalised within 2 months of living there. They told me I'd have lots of parking spaces but the street I lived down had the one or two if I was lucky. Do not recommend them, an absolute joke of a company, needs sorting.
House is modern, room tidy and clean. Nice new furniture. Turn up when needed to fix stuff. Real happy!
Save yourself the headaches and avoid this company. The company does not care about you, and it is reflected in the staff and the way they treat you. You are lured into a false sense of security so that they can get your signature - the only thing they really care about. They don't mind lying to you or breaching the contract. The houses aren't cleaned by them - they expect students to clean up after themselves and don't bother checking afterward. My house had a lot of mould in it, and a friend who was also with them reported a similar issue. Issues are often not dealt with unless they are severe (in which case it takes a long time) or affect the viewings/contract for next year. I could write more but I hope this is enough to persuade you to choose a different company that won't abuse you.
Second year of renting with Simply Students and very happy with both the houses we’ve had and their customer service too. The houses I’ve had from them have always been clean, modern and well maintained. Found their staff friendly and empathetic when it’s come to any repairs or issues we’ve had, and sorted them out in a timely manner too. Highly recommend !
Would of given a zero rating!! My son and his friends are still waiting nearly a year on for work on the house which was supposed to be completed before they moved in last September, the house has black mould and damp, there was a bar across the thermostat so they could not turn the heating up (in these very cold conditions) and when the heating did come on it was for 2 hours a day. They have been contacted on numerous occasions and still have not sorted the problems. Now in breach of contract!
Simply students are very reliable and trustworthy accommodation group available in hull. They are extremely professional and ready to support you irrespective of time. And they continue their support not only during your period of stay with them, but also after your stay period like supporting us with landlord references which is quite a mandatory requirements for students (especially for international students).
Very friendly and helpful, made every accomodation for us to changing and updating parts of the house for us as well as giving us extremely good prices for what we were getting. On top of this they were so nice in the office, giving us drinks and snacks and dropping us off home. Highly recommend :)
Really friendly staff! Super accommodating and went above and beyond to try and get us the perfect house!! Some brilliant properties aswell!
Been in the property 3 month still haven't fixed problems with the property and didn't complete cotracted improvements for when we moved in. Great for finding a private renter, wouldn't rent from them directly again. Had a great landlord before who we found through them but the company are unprofessional and rude to students
