   Overall, we had a challenging experience renting through YLD: -Initial listing was misleading as it suggested the property came with a washing machine and a working alarm -Mistakes in the contract – it took several attempts to get our personal details right -No formal inventory -Very poor communication – you have to chase everything -Property wasn’t cleaned or inspected prior to us moving in -Out of hours number didn’t work when we had issues with the boiler -Chased for rent on multiple occasions as they didn’t check we’d paid before the due date However, on a positive note: -Maintenance team are excellent -Monthly rental price was very reasonable for the area -The team at YLD are very friendly Suggestions for improvement: -Use a formal inventory documenting system to create a detailed report -Provide floor plans for the properties for advertising given all the properties are developed in house -Invest in a maintenance system to track maintenance tickets etc

   I had a great experience renting through YLD. Abigail was very responsive, friendly, and supportive throughout the entire process from viewing to referencing, and all the way to key collection. Everything was clearly explained, and any questions I had were answered promptly. The whole process felt smooth and well-managed. I’m very happy in my new home and would definitely recommend them.

   My partner and I are completely moving areas with YLD and have had an amazing experience. Within days of enquiring about the property we are moving into tomorrow we were viewing, from start to finish everyone has been lovely the viewing was the most comfortable we have had and the process of renting with YLD has been so easy. Very happy with our new home! We 100% recommend. Abigail, Leanne, and Rachel have been incredible and left us some lovely welcome packs! :) Thank you ladies x

   ❌warning to all tenants❌ Me and my husband was good tenants for YLD for 8 years and 4 years ago we asked if they would consider selling us the property at market value once we was financially ready. This March we was able to do this we was given a price which was a little high for a small terrance house but because we was in a good position we decided we would go ahead. 5 weeks into after we paid our solicitor and mortgage advisor this company then sent an email stating the wanted another £15,000 this was beyond disbelief and the bank then said to us it was overvalued and we would be in a minus for many years to come. So after what this company had done to me and my husband we was totally devastated by how cruel this company had been that we didn’t trust them anymore and decided to leave and buy another property which we are very happy now but at the time you can imagine the pain and upset this caused. Then when we wanted our deposit back they tried to bill us for damages that were already there when we moved in so we had to fight through the DPS and it has taken 4 long months but we was finally awarded all of our deposit back to us. I want to write this review to warn other tenants that are thinking the same as us don’t they are not trustworthy at all and can you imagine if we had children in the local school having too disrupt their lives too it was very callous especially when we have been good tenants for 8 long years and we have never even received one apology for the upset they caused.

   I rented with YLD for 4 years, they were always professional, courteous and quick to provide reassurance and assistance, especially Leanne and Abigail. They also always gave plenty of notice for gas/electric/general inspections which was hugely helpful when I started working in another city.
