didn’t show up to my booking for more than 45 mins because of ‘friday prayer time’ not sure what that’s got to do with the price of peas but i didn’t make a house viewing because of this because i cancelled it. time wasters

Awful! Worst experiences with a taxi company ever! Used the app to book a taxi and it said it will be with me in 8 minutes. Half an hour later and I call them and he says he's re-sending it, to give another 5-10 minutes. Almost an hour after booking, I get a notification to tell me my taxi has been cancelled so I call them back up, he says your taxi has been and gone. No notification through the app, no text, no phone calls and no one knocked on my door. All he could say was "We don't knock on doors" I said well I'm not telepathic, if you don't call me or knock on my door, how am I supposed to know you're there? He didn't know the answer to that but he didn't care either. This was the dispatcher apparently. Hour of my day wasted and it meant that I couldn't pick my car up from the garage because they had now shut! Useless... unless you're telepathic. Won't ever use these again!

I use city centre all the time and I think they are the one of the best taxi firms I've used. I find them reliable always friendly and polite including the depot. I can't thank them enough for going out of their way to get my phone back to me when I left it in my taxi. I recommend them to everyone.

Brilliant service from City Centre Taxis! I accidentally left my phone in one of the cars and was really stressed, but thankfully it was found and returned safely to the base. Huge shout-out to Dean for contacting the driver!! It’s rare to come across such honest and reliable service these days, so I’m genuinely grateful. Highly recommend City Centre Taxis!

Booked a taxi on the app to Manchester Airport which gave me a price I thought was good and better than anybody else. Taxi arrived 25 minutes early and noticed I’d got a missed call from them at 2.30am for a 3.30 am pick up. Handed the driver £50 cash and was told it wasn’t enough as the price on the app was wrong and they needed £6 more. I stated I didn’t need dropping at the airport which they claimed the extra money was for so instead the driver dropped me exactly 1 mile away from the airport. You cannot offer an app service and then want more money above what it’s quoted.

Used to be great. Not anymore. Never on time even if you book 5 hours in advance they will tell you you’re looking at another half an hour. Give stupid reasons as to why a car wasn’t in the place you booked at the time you booked. Some horrible drivers. Never on time. Waste of time.

Just called a taxi. Used this taxi firm every time my friend calls round. Usually no problem. Waited tonight with curtains open. Saw car drive past my property. Called to ask where taxi was to be told the taxi drove past several times. Called back again and was hung up upon. Great service from a rude telephone operator. He must really enjoy his job.

We've been using these guys pretty every weekend for a year now and the drivers are great. No complains there. The app's pretty good too but we found we'd been left with a "we've got your booking" message for up to 30mins and would have to call instead to try and get something sooner - sometimes meaning we were late to gigs. We've been left stranded too, but this was on busy weekends at peak times such as 1am so that's forgivable. However, what shocked us was on Tuesday night when we tried to book a 7-seater out of Hanley at around 11pm. The app couldn't find a ride so we called and were told one was on the way. Nothing arrived so we called to find out they had no 7 seaters on at all, so we asked if they can send two cars and we'll break the group up - effectively willing to pay double. Despite being assured two cars were on the way, neither arrived. Having now been waiting close to an hour, we called again to ask what was going on and express our frustration with the situation (particularly beeingn told vehicles were on the way when they clearly weren't). The operater stated "I don't care", and when we said we'd stop using them if they didn't send something soon, he said "Don't threaten me, pal". I get that it can't be easy to run an operation like this and groups larger than four are logistically tougher. I get that sometimes there just isn't a vehicle there to send. I just don't understand the lack of communication, honesty, and professionalism. We'd have absolutely understood if there were no 7-seaters and there was a delay if we'd been told upfront about it. For those wondering, yeah, we used Uber and got two cars down there within ten minutes.

Left my phone in the taxi on a sunday, was dropped off at the rank almost instantly and was able to collect it without any issue, got picked up by a taxi person also from the taxi rank and they dropped me off as well. All the service was helpful, no issues just me being impatient but the agents were sound

I use these a lot and Monday I had the taxi driving shouting at me saying that I’ve started this argument when hadn’t and today this taxi driver just got to my house and rang and cancelled my taxi with out giving me time to get out the house and then he been on his phone. Thinking of using a different taxi for now on
