Cute cafe in Shanklin old town. The food and all the people we encountered were lovely but cringe service was slow. We went on a mild mid October afternoon, the place was at 25-30% capacity. I queued for 30 mins to order and then had to wait a further 30 mins for 2 scones to come out. There was a sign saying, Peak of the season, food is freshly prepared, waiting time estimated to be 30 mins. As it wasn’t peak of the season or even partially busy i didn’t expect it to take half an hour to serve a couple of scones - my bad, I was warned. While we were waiting in the queue the lady at the front had completed her order and was waiting for the coffees to be prepared by another member of staff she said to the lady serving, who was also stood waiting for the coffees, β€œDo you want me to move to the side do you can continue serving?”. The lady serving said no, we don’t prepare multiple orders at once as you just get yourself in a mess. I’ve never known a hospitality establishment have that as a rule, I’ve only ever seen it in establishments that don’t have the training and skills to handle multiple orders at once. A few reviews have commented on the price we had a standard and a savoury cream tea, it came to Β£17 including drinks; I don’t Rond that too bad. As I’ve said, it was lovely but I wouldn’t come in August, you’ll be waiting until September.

This is an amazing place in Old Village Shanklin. The food and service are exceptional. Of the many highlights, their awesome afternoon cream has to be at the pinnacle of my favourites, truly stunning freshly baked scones served with clotted cream and your choice of local handmade jams. Do not visit the island without having a visit here.

We stumbled across this little cafe and it looked popular and cute, so we headed into the garden. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful, and the food was delicious. My teenage step-daughter said it was the best baguette she'd ever had, and a compliment from her is impressive! Seriously, each meal was gorgeous. The prices are reasonable, and the amenities were clean. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

Guys, Pawfect experience for dog owners! Not only has a great menu for both yourselves and your loved fur baby but also a very special personal-doggy-service, the food is served in their own bowl, great choice of their own mains, dessert and of course a doggy-drink! Definitely worth visiting ❀️

Rainy day and fancied a cup of tea. Ended up ordering lunch here. The staff are so nice! Some gluten free options the brownie I had was gluten free and vegan which was really nice ! Would definitely recommend.

Having previously avoided Shanklin for food and drink stops due to feeling the place was all a bit too twee this was a really pleasant surprise. It was easy to see why it has been the IOW cafe of the year for two years running. Very friendly service with a wide range of different places to sit and chill whether in or outside. A clear commitment to fund raising for a school in Uganda (I think) was noticeable without being stuffed down your throat. The sausage baguette (others had bacon or sausage sandwich) were all delicious.

Fantastic tearoom in Shanklin Old Village, near the top of the Chine. Visited twice, once for lunch (great soup, sausage rolls and pizzas) and again for tea and cake. Quirky tea garden, with indoor seating too. Friendly and efficient service, a great find among the (very many) tearooms in the area!

Very nice tea room right next to the Shanklin Chine. We had nice cream tea there which is really reasonable priced. Cream tea are fresh and tasty. They do sandwiches and pizza there, too. Tea room is first come first served. - you can call the book a table. Most of the sitting area are our door. We had a nice and relaxing time there. Five star.
