   I had a cartilage piercing (rook) done at Athame in March 2023, I’ve waited a few months before reviewing so as to be able to report on the healing process. I’d had cartilage piercings before by a different piercer in a different town but chose to go to Athame this time. It was a very positive experience from start to finish - I liked being able to book online, and found the website very good. The piercing studio is well set up, and Frey was very professional and friendly throughout. This was the best piercing experience I’ve had, Frey is definitely expert at their job and far superior to the other piercer I’d used previously. And it is healing beautifully, 3 months down the line it is doing very well, no bumps or any other problems at all. Next time I want a piercing or a jewellery change, I’ll definitely go to Frey, even though they are over 150 miles from where I live. Many thanks for an excellent service. 10/10 and 5 gold stars!

   Went to Frey at Athame Piercings today for my nose pierced and to say I was feeling nervous is an understatement! But she was fantastic, chatty and informative…putting me completely at ease. Studio itself is not only ascetically pleasing but (most importantly) immaculate and sanitary. As for the piercing process, Frey was SO good…as my nerves were high she was quick but gentle and I can honestly say it was almost pain free - my eyes didn’t even water! I’m all set with a wealth of aftercare advice and now all’s left to do is wait patiently for 12 weeks or so until I’m back to swap for a hoop! Oh and resist any more piercings as I feel I’ve definitely got the bug!

   Visited Athame today for a couple of ear piercings and honestly couldn’t be happier! Frey went through everything that would happen during the piercings, and used the piercings I currently have to give me an idea of what to expect during healing. They were so helpful and professional throughout, even apologising for the lack of music in the shop. It took a few times of marking the placement for one of my piercings but Frey didn’t mind at all and was happy to move it around until the placement was where I wanted it to be. The studio itself is super clean, and everything was cleaned down before I was pierced. Really pleased with the results of my piercings and would highly recommend!

   I honestly cannot recommend Athame Piercings enough. Frey is extremely knowledgeable and helpful, but above all they are friendly, patient, and professional! Today was my first piercing and they thoroughly explained the whole process, including aftercare, making sure I was comfortable, informed, and relaxed every step of the way. Admittedly I felt a little lightheaded shortly afterwards, and they went above and beyond to offer me a bottle of water and a sugary snack, taking the time to ensure I was okay and have a chat. I will 100% be a return customer in the near future.

They are super thorough with aftercare and explaining everything they're doing! Not only that, but when I've come away, my partner and I can't stop gushing about how lovely they are. Honestly my favourite place to ever get pierced.

   Frey is amazing! Studio is clean and welcoming. All equipment used sterile and fresh in the packaging. Really relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Frey is welcoming, reassuring, knowledgable and professional. Excellent aftercare advice. My daughter had her first ear piercing and she was put completely at ease. I cannot recommend Frey and Athame enough. I will definitely be returning!
