   We have been using Gardner Webb Accounting for the last three years. We only wish it had been the last 30 years. Edit and her team are exceptional and able to tackle the most difficult tasks that our previous accountant would not deal with. Edit is passionate about her business, offers outstanding service and has been amazingly patient. Claire deals with our PAYE and is always fast, accurate and friendly. Not using Gardner Webb sooner has been a costly mistake, we are just so grateful we have them working with us now, many thanks for your loyal support and perfect work every time :-)

   Expertise, care and compassion. Three attributes which Gardner Webb Accounting has in abundance and which set them head and shoulders above their competitors. As a travel agent, during covid I had no option but to find PAYE employment to pay the bills whilst nobody was travelling. This added complications to my tax return which my accountant at the time did not fully explain (or, as it turned out – understand). It was impossible to speak to my then accountant, and as a result, a junior and unqualified member of their staff made some serious omissions. I turned instead to Gardner Webb for help. What drew me to them was how Edit always took time to share trends and potential pitfalls by keeping abreast of regulations and changes and how they might impact her customers. I knew she would be able to unravel my challenges. Edit has been an absolute Godsend. She used her knowledge and expertise to spot what the other company had missed or misunderstood, and patiently guided me in getting everything sorted out. She has given me the confidence to better understand my accounts and is with me every step of the way when I need her to be. She even took time to steer a 3-way conversation with HMRC maintaining a calm and measured approach demonstrating her deep understanding of both sides to reach a mutually beneficial solution. I cannot recommend her highly enough as an integral part of any business.

   I am new to quickbooks although have been using Quicken 98 for many years. I found this company on the Intuit website and as they were local engaged them to help with the transition. Claire was the person who helped me with this. As I am over a certain age the word " intuitive" does not have the same meaning to me as perhaps someone younger. Without Claire's patient and clear help this would not have been a transition but a disaster and I dread to think what the VAT returns would have looked like. We got all the training done in about 7 hrs and a bit of background work. they assure me that they are at the end of the phone if I get stuck. Very happy to have engaged them. Roll on the day when the next generation take over and I can go fishing.

   I enjoyed exemplarily service from Edit Gardner and her business partner Clare Webb for 6 years during my time as a sole trading marketing consultant. Their professionalism, attention to detail and advice was always beyond reproach Having now retired, I have recently re-engaged Gardner Webb on behalf of my daughter, who having just returned from a 3 year plus secondment in Denmark working for a major international company, she was needing to form her own company, as she had been offered a substantial freelance position from her Danish employer, as part of her return to the UK. As the complexity governing EU taxation and in particular VAT was daunting and would be beyond most individuals understanding, as the specifics are a veritable "minefield" a trusted professional approach was vital.
