Day to day life doesn't often require "specialists" but when tax becomes a potential worry, I'd have no qualms in using Ad Valorem again.

After paying Advalorem £12,690 in the last twelve months for them to take care of our accounts and we have now been left in a terrible situation. Advalorem had access to our xero accountancy software and all financial statements have been sent to our account manager, Charlotte. We were told "not to worry" and that our accounts will be filed on time. With our accounts now 3 months overdue, we had to instruct another company and have been fined by companies house. Advalorem are an accountancy firm with no accountability. They have also refused to refund me and have sent a clause of their T&Cs i was unaware of. 24. You have the right to cancel our arrangement at any time within a 12 month term giving one months written notice. Fees paid during a 12 month term are non-refundable regardless of whether or not any work has been carried out. (Truly laughable) After speaking with several business that have used advalorem in the past, a common phrase was mentioned. Let this be a warning. Reply: Who should i speak too? I tried to call once again before leaving this review.
Ad Valorem have always provided me with absolutely everything I need for my Tax and end-of-year accounts and always in good time too. They are also very proactive, in chasing me for anything they need to get things done. I would highly recommend!
