1 Star is too high - they like to try to re-deliver where they can to charge more. Its like they choose to have no logisitcs department, which doesnt make sense considering they are a haulage company... Inaddition to your below comment - you delivery driver and warehouse mamanger lied to me. Yes the lorry couldnt get down my road (i dont know why your logistics team couldnt have picked that up?!), however i tried to meet the delivery driver where he was and take the item from you then. He said no, he will come back the next day. I asked if this will incur an exra charge of which he said no its fine. I was then charged for re-delivery. Your warehouse manager then said i lied and the driver did not say this?! If i had known there would have been re-delivery fee i would have made sure the delivery driver dropped the item off where ever he could. Please do not trust Browns Distribution - they will just say anything stating they "always provide high service". well obviously not! Especially looking at the reset of the reviews too!

I am writing to advise of some serious issues with this service which make it simply unusable for current and future clients. Major Issues: On a small quarter pallet to be delivered from a road with NO obstructions (and not a small road) they are sending huge 26 ton lorries which are 'unable' to navigate, they are then expecting the customer to either foot a GBP 30 pound 'recollection' bill or forgo half of the amount paid. This is unacceptable! As a courier its YOUR responsibility to understand where you are collecting the parcel from not the customers who has 0 visibilities of your lorries. Minor Issues: Prices quoted for pallets are without VAT which is added at the last step, by this time user has invested time in entering details and is far into the process. You can fix both these issues at your user interface.

Pallet of gym equipment dropped at depot by an βinexperienced forklift driverβ and a manager that said to just send it and let customer (me) deal with it on arrival. Took a month to process a claim for the damaged goods and even with the claim complete and money sat with Browns ready to send (3 months later) I am still chasing this payment. No response to emails from Georgia or the manager (who sped things up but still hadnβt changed end result of a huge delay in sending the insurance claim payment over). Iβve had to call and chase things up each time. What could have been a positive revolution has left a bitter taste. Customer service has gone out the window and feel like this company are doing all they can to delay sending payment or hoping I forget. I was told I would receive payment on Monday or Tuesday, itβs Friday and no response to emails yet again. False promises and enough time to sort this issue so an honest review has been left.

Very much a favourites place i personally found after over 5 1/2 years. Foreign drivers seem get all the nights out to keep them happy. A select few English drivers got the full week out every week. Even after two years of reliable service i couldnt get more than two nights out a week, but i had new drivers occasionally telling me they had been set on and guaranteed a full week out. And that they wont have to do a Friday night out. Very unfair ! If your face doesnt fit. This is i thought the doing of one person in the office who picks drivers to favour and others not. I came to think Browns was a company of unequal opportunities not equal opportunities for drivers from how i was treated. Even after 5 1/2 years i saw the favouritism to other drivers from this one person. I would still recommend this company for a driver as apart from how i was treated and saw it, it was a good place to work. Staff in the office are very nice and the owner always waves when he seeβs you or is happy to chat. You will be happy if you only want a couple of nights out a week. Also i found without fail if i did and most over drivers did a Friday night out then you were guaranteed a late start Monday morning. I thought this was to claw back the Saturday overtime you did. Of course the favorite oneβs if they ever did a Friday night out still got an early start Monday morning. So unfair.
