The Fair Trade Practice did me a good service several years ago, but now they call me often to bother me to try some new legal loophole to get cash back from... whoever it happens to be on this occasion. I answered the phone and asked them to remove me from their call list. The woman said "but we can get you money back", and I said, yes, you probably can. Imagine how irritating you'd have to have been for me to turn down essentially free money. She took my point.

If I could give this company a minus or zero I would! I used this company over 13 years ago and they completely shafted me. I wrote a bad review on here and they had it removed saying I wasn't a customer and yet here we are 13 years later with them calling me about their latest products as I haven’t used them in a while. After doing a debt management program with them, I ended up owing significantly more than I did at the beginning of the debt management program as they did not keep on top of their agreements and I was constantly being bombarded with calls from creditors advising there was no agreement in place and the interest was continuing to increase. I cannot believe this company is still up and running after all these years of ripping people off.

If this company contact you with regards to undisclosed commission on PPI. Beware! They will tell you on their initial call that the fees are either 20% or 35% + VAT of the amount you receive. What they don't tell you is that within the 38 page solicitor's contract, it states that the fee is as stated but plus disbursements and potentially other costs of their time - which is charged at £600 + VAT per hour. So potentially you could end up owing money! The Fair Trade Practice use emotive phrases in their initial call about the cost of living crisis and money is better in your pocket than someone else's etc etc, which may lead to people signing the paperwork in hopes of getting money back. I used TFTP for miss sold PPI and they were very good - but now I wouldn't trust them at all. I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole

Would not recommend this company at all. I dealt mainly with one of the credit card companies direct, they weren't even aware that the company had settled directly with me, therefore they couldn't have been doing anything. It was only when I told them that they finally closed it and then billed me for the work I had done!!!

This company calls me on a daily basis to try and sell me life insurance now. Won’t take no for an answer and are intrusive.

My first claim with The Fair Trade Practice went through fine. Money received, they got their share, all was good. When the second claim started going through I got the letter to say how much I was going to get, which asked for a copy of my driving licence, to sign another form and for two proofs of address of which I sent a copy (Council tax bill and a water bill). They said I should get the money within 28 days. After a couple of weeks I called them to see if they could contact the loan company to see if everything was ok and could they give me a call back. After the 28 days went by of checking my bank account every day, I called Fair Trade Practice and they said the company refused the water bill and needed more proof because the loan company wasn't happy with it. A couple of days later the loan company themselves then sent me a letter asking me just to sign the form and send a copy of my driving licence - then they could pay me. I didn't need any of the proof of addresses. I called The Fair Trade Practice and spoke to a man there; he said that they had not done anything since the first letter was sent and that it was their own admin team that had refused the water bill... So more phone calls to and from and in the end I sorted it myself. The long and short of it is that they still want all the money for doing not even half a job; if anything, they just made it more difficult! Not much "Fair Trade" happening there. I will now be canceling the rest of the work with them. Not even a solicitor would charge the thousands this company has charged me for sending a single letter, and they'd be twice as competent!

Well I can not only speak for myself but also some members of my family have had a great experience with this company. I found them professional, efficient and very polite. Was completely straight forward and hassle free. I was recommended by a friend and I never thought I would get anything, but was pleasantly surprised. Of course there was a fee, but all was explained to me. On reading some of these reviews, I thought I had to give my view of the way I was dealt with. I highly recommend them. Most people when they are happy tend to forget to let those know what wonderful service they had. Well thank you to the staff at fair trade practice, you were always a pleasure to talk to. And thank you once again for looking after me.

I have claimed PPI myself as I had paperwork and the rest I let The Fair Trade Practice take care of. I have since received a substantial sum back by just giving account details. They are professional and efficient to deal with, no cold calling, yes there is some form completion but it’s simple and straightforward. The fees are rather falling when it comes to paying but I was always informed of the costs and I know I wouldn’t have got anything back if I hadn’t gone through this company. Thank you, and I would definitely recommend.
