Great looking place, lovely and cozy houses, with fun and interesting places nearby. You can see the Mournes and other lovely views from within the area. I would greatly recommend going.
We are just back from a fantastic stay in Rourke's Cottage at Kribben Cottages and I couldn't fault a thing. We were a family of 5 with 3 kids ages 8, 7 and 4 and it was ideal to have self-catering, spacious accommodation for three nights in a really central location for exploring Newcastle and surrounding areas. The cottage itself is homely and cosy with absolutely everything you need to hand, they really have thought of everything. Teabags in the press, cling film and tinfoil in the drawer (which I had forgotten for making packed lunches), all these little touches made our stay seamless. Lovely modern bathrooms with a beautiful bath to relax in, firepit and BBQ outside and stove inside with everything you need to light them in the utility which also has a washing machine and drying rack. Under the stairs had a stair-gate and high-chair too! Beautiful outdoor surroundings with views of the mountains on one side and looking out to the Sea on the other, a moment of bliss for the first morning cuppa. The kids loved the jungle gym and sandpit and it was very safe to let them off to roam freely as the gate is always securely locked. We really enjoyed playing the board games provided also. We met Paula on arrival and Myrtle before we left and they were both so friendly and helpful, Paula gave us eggs and brown bread and Myrtle's divine home-made shortbread which was a lovely touch. I would highly recommend this wonderful spot, a real hidden gem perfect for families or a couple's get-away. I look forward to returning next time!
Beautiful cottages in such a peaceful setting yet close to wonderful places. Set in such a scenic spot, the cottages are really luxurious and spacious. We stayed in Millstone cottage and it had the sun all evening and views over the mournes. My 3 year old son enjoyed the garden, small play park and outdoor area where he could play safely enclosed. It really was a home from home. The Haugh family were very accommodating and kind. We will definitely be back.
If I could give 10 stars I would. We had a fabulous time...! This was our second stay and this time we were in Crannoge Cottage. Really comfortable beds and everything to hand. Really high quality facilities and spotless. Paula and her team made us feel so welcome and the weather was amazing. I have never seen the mountains looking so beautiful & the sea was nice and warm too...! Mourne at its best... A showcase for my sons first visit to Annalong to see his Irish roots. We will be back...
Kribben is now a firm family favourite and we have stayed here twice with our boys and dogs. A safe welcoming environment. Extremely high specced cottages, very cosy with all mod cons. Booking and check-in was smooth. Looking forward to going back in 2023!
Lovely cottages in an amazing setting. You do need a car to get to shops and restaurants.
Best holiday destination in Northern Ireland. Gorgeous house snd the fogs and parents loved it. Booking as soon as possible again.
We spent 4 nights in Millstone Cottage last week & I have to say we had a lovely break. The cottage is first class and really “luxury” is the only word for it. It is decorated beautifully and the location is perfect - in the foot of the Mournes and only a 10 minute drive into Newcastle. Under floor heating was just great for a winter stay & meant we only lit wood burner on one evening. Cottage has everything you need for your stay and I really couldn’t recommend it enough - will definitely be back!
