Love this place as easily the best and least spoilt beach in NI and whole northern half of Ireland along with Benderg bay and Killard point.

There's not much that can be said about Ballyhornan that hasn't already been said. It is a lovely quiet little village on the Co Down coast. It has beautiful views, a lovely beach, a small kiddies play park, a car park, a pub, a shop and a chippie. Perfect for a day out.
Very lovely beach. Wide and deep. Brilliant views from the coast. Small playground by the car park. Car park it self is small with spaces for maybe 15 cars but more parking opportunities along the ciast. Clean, tidy, well kept. There's a wee coffee trailer at the car park but it closes at 5pm and very often they only take cash. In all very good place to chill and relax if the weather permits.
Lovely beach for quiet walks, playing with the dog or having little adventures with the kids. Depending on the tide, it has everything from a massive sandy expanse to a rocky outcrop to go exploring. Come here every time we are back in Ulster.
Lovely, fairly remote, beach. It's possible to walk to Gun's Island at low tide, or swim / paddle board / kayak etc at other times. The whole shore line, especially to the South, is beautiful and worth exploring.
Nature's best - rugged, wild, accessible, seasonal colour bursts - flora, fauna, coastal. Take litter and dog foul home and let others enjoy this part of the Lecale Way too.
Great little beach. Beautiful walk and a little coffee here Bix within the carpark. Best to use walking boots, especially if you're going to walk the Ulster way route.
