Where do I begin! Came here on the 6th December for my dads 50th birthday table booked for 8 people upstairs in the mill restaurant everything was fine until we ordered a round of drinks that never came, Then my sister got raw chicken they took it back and never offered a replacement they just deducted it from the bill and rightly so, The manger in the restaurant a lady with short cut up hair was no help very argumentative and staff that only started that night was taking orders so we didn’t get half of what we ordered to the table! Then when we were paying the bill they charged my mum the £50 she already made to secure the table the week before that was charged to her card again. “She got it refunded” When I rang the week after this to speak to a manger just to let them know how upset my mum was considering my mum and dad eat downstairs in the bar nearly every week and the staff in the granary bar know them very well I waited a week for a phone call and didn’t get one so I called back yesterday 15th December and spoke to a manger called Patrick I think his name was when I say 0 customer service skills basically said he was going to investigate this even though they had a full week to do so! Felt like he was basically calling me a liar not even an apology and therefore we won’t be back very disappointed!!!!

Stayed in the Canal Court Hotel on Saturday night and what a wonderful time we had. Fantastic atmosphere with fabulous Christmas decorations. The beds are so comfortable and bathrooms new with great shower. Had a gorgeous meal in the bar. Great service from Gerard and his team. Such friendly hard working staff. Will definitely go back.

We love the ambience of the Canal court Hotel. However service is lacking. On an extremely busy Saturday afternoon there was one waitress to service the entire reception area, the place was packed, its the Christmas holiday season, plus a wedding going on so many guests had sat down for drinks in the area, busy shoppers ordering food, and this one hard working young woman called Ciara held the fort alone . Incredibly hard worker but you could see the stress of it all. This is NOT the first time the Canal Court has disappointed us all with thier service. I hope they are kind and appreciate the Ciaras of the service industry.

An excellent place to stay. Lobby and associated event rooms are quite nice, and the food was very good. Great bar too! Rooms were very nice and modern. Across the street/canal is the Newry bus station, which is convenient

We really loved this classy, comfortable and friendly hotel. We stayed on a special deal and it was excellent value. Special shout-out to wonderful restaurant staff. So friendly and accommodating. Our room was lovely with views over the canal and a massive bed. Shower and bath pressure was great. Leisure centre facilities were also very nice. Overall a very positive stay

Room was big and clean, dinner and breakfast at the Old Mill Restaurant were excellent. Located literally across the coach station and staff were all kind and friendly. Gym isn’t very big and there’s no workout mat though. Also soundproofing in the room can be improved. Overall pleasant stay.

My husband and I stayed in the Canal Court as part of my husband's workplace Christmas get together. The reception staff were extremely friendly and professional. Our room was spacious, warm and quiet. Our meal was warm and very tasty for a plated meal for so many. However organisation of the delivery of the meals was a little chaotic with some people at the tables with either no meals while others did or others waiting for the completion of their meal. The serving staff were polite, professional and doing their best. More barmen were needed as 2 barmen for the amount of people attending was far from sufficient and led to long waits to get served. Hats off to the young barmen they were professional, friendly and didn't loose their cool during a pressurised service - well done! Breakfast next morning was warm, delicious and served extremely fast by a very friendly lady. The Christmas decor throughout reception and the lobby was beautiful and really added to the festive mood.

What a great stay! Everything was perfect apart from one thing. Jean, she was the cause of all my issues. I asked my room to be serviced by her whilst I was having breakfast with my hubby. The kids were going bing Bong in the room and I couldn’t control them! Anyways, I overheard Jean talking about a member of staff in an extremely disrespectful way. I don’t feel this is appropriate in the workplace! This is my second interaction with Jean and both have not been pleasant. Our room wasn’t up to standard when we got back and I’ve only her to blame. God bless those in housekeeping it must be tough working under her rule! I left a tip for them anyways I hope yous got it!

I cant recommend this hotel enough. Went with 3 friends for spa and dinner package. The rooms were ideal and comfy and the hotel itself is beautiful with amazing food. But the thing we all agreed we loved most was the customer service. Ive never been to a hotel with such friendly and helpful staff. 10 out of 10
