The Bidwell team are totally excellent. They cover two companies I'm the company Secretary for and over the years, have never had an issue with Bidwell. Very professional and well priced.

What a pleasure to work with this dynamic team! From accounting, VAT, Tax and payroll, every team member is proactive, an expert at their field and use the technology at their disposal optimally to ensure a streamlined service that is cost-effective. Wonderful things I heard about Xero and other solutions but I never experienced with my previous accountant has now come true for me. John’s team has integrated various solutions into Xero to make signing off and uploading documents a dream. Never again do I have to worry that my VAT will be submitted late or my PAYE not calculated correctly, or worse – that I get a major shock after the submission of my year-end. What can I say! As a tradesman that takes massive pride in his work and the attention to detail on the jobs I undertake. This definitely didn't translate to looking after the office accounts and paperwork… what a terrible pickle I found myself in!!! Deluged daily by brown envelopes from HMRC with threats of fines and further action and putting them in the drawer with stuff on top or hiding them in various places, the post was not fun to open. Then there were the old receipts in a shoe box… well shoe boxes… what a mess! Best not mention the VAT man, he is relentless, every three months!!! I approached Bidwell before I sank completely or HMRC turned up on my doorstep, which honestly became a massive worry/fear in my head. I had a great initial chat with John on the phone and he assured me all was not lost and that I wasn't in as much of a state as some (maybe he was just saying that to be nice and calm me down). John emailed me with costings and once agreed his team swung into action. I dropped off receipts and bank statements, gave details I didn't realise I knew! They coordinated everything. Once caught up we had a meeting at the office in Milton Keynes and the team ran me through everything and gave me a list of things that needed additional detail or further explanation. I was set up with a great accounts software that helps me prepare super professional looking quotations and invoices really easily both at home and on-site on my phone. I believe it also does clever accountancy things but I’ll leave that to the Bidwell Team until I’m ready. I was set up with receipt bank which is the most brilliant bit of kit. I can take pictures of my receipts on my phone or email a .pdf to receipt bank then get rid of the paper copy. Its so quick and easy and saves loosing them, putting them in the washing machine or keeping them for years in a massive collection of shoe boxes (sorry whoever had to sort that out, I did try to get them in some order) So now I find myself up to date and organised… yes it has cost me money and does each month but I’m certain that this saves me at least double the cost as I’m able to be out on site working and earning rather than exhausted and worried and up late trying and failing to sort things out. Moving forward its going to cut out waste as I become more tax efficient and get less fines from HMRC. Im looking forward to the future working with Bidwell as I look to grow as a business and take on staff to help on site, they will deal with the payroll and keep my paperwork organised leaving me time to focus on what I’m great at (definitely not the accounts). So, Thanks to the Whole Team. Always super polite and helpful on the phone and quick to respond to questions. They have saved my business and will bring massive value to my business as we move forward.
