Very professional. Kept me informed through out the job. I was sent a video of scratched glass that the dealer supplied. A replacement was sourced seamlessly. Very happy with the windows. And the final bill was as quoted.
Andy and Pete worked though a list of fault finding to correctly diagnose a mis and back fire issue on my 67 bug, always keeping me up to date on what was being done and how they were getting on. A very friendly and welcoming garage that, from my experience treats the customer really well. Will be going back for any further work and services.

Fantastic service. We are so pleased to have found a genuine, honest VW specialist. Our new engine sounds like it should instead of a bag of spanners. Our gear change is far more fluid and for the first time in 8 years have heating. Andy also gave sound advice on other issues but we were never pressurised. We completely trust VW Engineering. What a great little place! I wish I had known they were there 18 months ago. I called Andy as I had a brake issue on my Beetle and he was happy to take a look. I dropped it off and it was sorted quickly but then he mentioned the car wasn't running very well when he took it on the test drive. I had the engine replaced with a 1641cc unit last year as the one I bought it with was junk. I was also told by the garage that the carbs that are on it are also junk (twin Weber 34 ICT's) and need to be replaced with 40IDF's. Andy said he doesn't agree with that and asked if he could take a look at the jets and I was happy for him to. He said they weren't jetted correctly and went ahead with setting them up.. The result is amazing. I'm very impressed. I can take the £1200 40IDF's off my wish list now.. I don't need them. I just need someone who knows what they're doing and Andy is that man. I will be be back to see Andy again. Whenever I need something on my bug he will be the 1st person I call. Thanks so much.
We have a 1964 Splitscreen. Taken to Andy for the first time for a service and general checkover, also asked Andy to have a look at the gear box as frankly it's always been a bit hit and miss finding a gear. Service all done, a fuel leak identified and fixed (!) and a staggering improvement in the gearbox - totally transformational, changes gear perfectly. So I can't recommend Andy highly enough, he really knows his stuff. Still cant quite believe the improvement in the gearbox Oh... and fire suppression system also now fitted by Andy (just in case) Alex

I contacted VW Engineering a few years back to obtain a quote on some work on my 1970 T2, Andy arranged for me to go down and meet with him, he explained everything that was required to do the restoration on my bus and explained how the costings would work. He kept me fully informed of the progress and when we were approaching my budget cap and the finished result was outstandingly excellent. Since the restoration, I have only ever used Andy at VW Engineering, for servicing, maintenance, MOT and even arranging storage over the winter months. I cannot recommend VW Engineering highly enough, it is a refreshing change to see someone honest, knowledgable, passionate and excelling at customer service in the VW world.
