I went this morning with my daughter. The place was so lovely. The lady was friendly, helpful and made us feel welcome. It was really busy but we did not feel rushed. I brought things to make embroidery christmas tree decorations. We can not wait to come back. Ive already told 3 people as this is such a lovely place.
Popped into the shop today for some advice as my sewing machine was skipping stitches whilst quilting. Lynn explained that having a new needle really does make a difference (don't just change them when they break)and who knew that there are many different needles for different jobs!! Friendly service. Great shop. So much fabric choice, wool and and free advice. So I cleaned my machine changed my needle to a quilting needle and yahoo no more skipped stitches. Can't thank you enough.
Went in today for the first time to pick up some pieces and it is a really lovely shop. I will say that there was a group going on at the same time, and it felt like the owner was waiting for me to leave. I would have liked to browse more, but didn't feel that welcome. But if you know what you need it's obviously very well stocked with fantastic products at good prices.
My new favourite place! Fabulous range of fabrics in all colours and patterns. Fabulous service from the lady who was very patient with all my questions. I must have exuded “newbie” vibes. Helped me with quantities needed for my first quilt project and really knows her stuff. Great advice provided. This is going to be my go to place for my sewing needs. Highly recommend !
The Jolly Stitcher is my happy place! Lynn is brilliant and goes above and beyond, her expertise knowledge has been invaluable to me. The selection of fabric and wool is great, I could stay in there for hours!
Recently found the Jolly Stitcher and I'm so glad I did! Lovely shop, fantastic range of fabrics, and nothing is too much trouble for the owner. I'm not knowledgeable when it comes to sewing and fabrics but she put me at ease and gladly gave me some tips after putting up with me rambling on! So lovely and welcoming!!
friendly service, ladies know the subject of tailoring, I was given advice on sewing machine needles, I am pleasantly surprised by the professionalism and quantity of materials and accessories, I recommend this warehouse to everyone
This is a little gem of a shop tucked away in an industrial state in Fareham. It caters for all things stitching and wool related and carries a great selection of accessories. There is a fabulous selection of fabric and lots of examples of the shop owners (Lynne) beautiful stitching skills. A fabulous array of wools and embroidery silks are also carried. I get the feeling that Lynne could give you the answer to any question you may have regarding your craft, she is also a great fun character full of banter. I thouroughly enjoyed my visit and look forward to returning again. On a side note if you are disabled like myself there are comfy chairs to rest on...always a bonus for me.
Had a very pleasant and productive visit today in searching for fabric for a quilt. Kind, patient and efficient customer service. Very knowledgeable, very on-point with information on materials, and completely unruffled by three people asking questions at the same time. Will definitely go back as soon as we run out of fabric!
A hidden gem and worth the detour from the main drag. Great selection of so many types of fabrics and very friendly service. Jolly Stitcher has been amazing during the recent lockdowns delivering to me & their click and collect - highly recommend - look forward to workshops returning again in the future
