Very busy, struggling to get equipment. Often annoying breakdown like equipment, toilets, hand dryers, leaks that are not being sorted promptly. Toilets would do with more attention as often dirty and toilet paper missing. staff not friendly or helpful. Often no staff in gym area which is dangerous.

They've started letting 10 Yr old into the gym at peak times - they walk around in small groups messing about on gym equipment for 10-20 mins not really doing anything and just being loud and annoying. You really need to limit times of entry for those younger than 16 to off peak times like 3pm when they get out of school, or making sure they are supervised by parents and not allowed in small groups

Since moving my training over from one of the big-name 24-hour gyms to Fareham Leisure Centre, I can honestly say my workouts have gone up a level. There’s a big difference between simply “going to the gym” and actually enjoying the gym, and Fareham has nailed that distinction. The atmosphere here is leagues better than the commercial chains – no endless rows of people glued to their phones on machines. Instead, it feels like a place where people genuinely want to train, progress, and support a positive environment. I’ll admit, I haven’t dipped my toes into the swimming pool yet, or braved the sauna and steam room (though they’re definitely on my to-do list), but it’s reassuring knowing those facilities are there waiting for when I fancy a change of pace. Yes, it means a 20-minute drive rather than a 10-minute stroll to my old gym, but the trade-off has been completely worth it. Better training, better atmosphere, and overall a far more enjoyable experience. All in all, I’m much happier at Fareham Leisure Centre – even if my car now gets more exercise than my legs on rest days.

Went climbing with the kids—really well set up. You can watch them from the café, which is super convenient. The kids loved it! There are lots of fun and challenging climbs for all levels. Great for beginners and more experienced climbers alike.

Weekend Swimming Pool is great for oldies & grandchildren together. 1st time using clean pool. Staff excellent, helpful in every way including disability hoist to get me in & out after a lovely hour. Wish 1 chaning room had a shower for wheelchair users, but still a great time to had getting fit, floating about or just having fun!

Booked on the app. (several days ago). Nothing on their system. No spaces left. Waste of time as we were not able to swim at all. Friendly staff, but the computer system still doesn't work (3rd time, various errors). As I waited for friends to change (as we couldn't swim), I observed the entry / exit barriers : they are difficult for 4 out of 5 visitors. This means the (friendly) booking people need to help in 80% of cases and it adds to the delay, frustration and queues. What a shame again (3rd attempt).

My visit was to use the gym. I have not used this leisure centre since before it was extended. It was good before but has taken a leap to be even better, including a huge and excellent gym.

I've been a member of Fareham gym for 7 months and have found every visit great. I regularly use the gym, studio for classes like pilates and yoga as well as the swimming pool for length swimming and public swim. The staff are friendly and accommodating. There is a cafe on site too which serves lovely breakfasts and lunches as well as a selection of cold and hot drinks which are all reasonably priced and high quality. All together, it's a brilliant leisure centre.
