I was on Samskip on hull docks a driver jumped the que to go to gate house I gave it a little blow on the horn to let him know that I was before him he gave me some verbal in part English and part foreign then started staring me out very unprofessional

Worked for them full time for 8 weeks. I've got 20 years Class 1 experience and I work hard. There is zero training given here on containers or continental fridge trailers. You are pushed to 15 hours a day every day. Then criticised for parking in services despite running out of time and being told not to park in risky places where diesel is stolen etc. Then Parking expenses refused to be paid. Office staff are clueless about drivers hours or defect reporting, or other compliance issues. The transport manager is in a dream world. "You learn this job as you go" was his response to being presented with a high value frozen load on a trailer with European couplings. Palm couplings needed but not provided or explained. He's never driven an HGV in his life. Dinosaurs only need apply. You are a disposable commodity as an experienced driver. Well think again, no wonder there's no new blood coming into the industry with clowns like this.
