Over a period of years, Howden have been excellent to deal with. They patiently give advice and have educated me on a few tricks of the trade, so I wouldn't try to organise insurance myself, however cheap it might appear. That noted, Howden always identify the best deal for me: sometimes we stick with the same insurer, sometimes we switch.
The person I spoke with was very polite and extremely helpful. He was easy to understand and was obviously not reading from a script. Would definitely recommend

Competitively priced, particularly when you factor in the service provided. Insurance is meant to give you peace of mind but buying online frequently leaves you worried you've got the wrong cover. Howden do all my insurance and I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Very nice company to deal with. I have 5 policies with them and have renewed everytime as they quote a great price. The Last renewal however after agreeing to it was taken that same day from my bank 2 weeks before the actual renewal date. Not happy about that.
I had dealings with the Shrewsbury branch by chance when looking for a renewal of car insurance. The service was professional, informative and stress free and the quote was very competitive. I found it much more straightforward than using internet sites and no more expensive to go through a broker. There were also added extras in the policy, which were not included in any of the online quotes. Would highly recommend.
It's a real shame that this place shuts at midday on a Saturday and doesn't reopen until 08:30 Monday morning. If you want to change insurance on buying a new car for example there's nobody there to assist you. Would be of great help to have one member of staff there on Saturday afternoons and on Sunday. This is why internet based insurers like Aviva etc have the monopoly, as they are open to fit the client's needs. Lovely members of staff just not open long enough.
2 claims settled within 7 days!!! UNBELIEVABLY quick! A-plan Shrewsbury and LV have made a very bad situation much much better! Hats off to everyone at A-Plan for the amazing service (as always)! We simply can’t thank you enough :-)
