   Drove a long way for an initial consultation. Office staff pleasant and down to earth. Found Mr Slater himself difficult in all honesty - I have no doubt he knows his stuff but aloof and condescending doesnt endear me to people offering a service. Have since gone elsewhere and encountered an entirely different approach and succesful outcome.

   Phil Slater and his people handle my pension (SIPP) and other investments. Overall service and performance over three years so far has been excellent: - following advice from a firm Phil recommended I withdrew from my company schemes and am now getting >20% more income than I would have done, - despite taking my pension each month my fund is now bigger than when I started, even taking account of inflation, - I know exactly where the money is invested, have regular updates with Phil to make appropriate changes and can draw out flexibly to suit my needs and minimise tax, - Phil and his people respond quickly and helpfully whenever I have ad hoc questions or any issues between our regular meetings together, - Slater's charges are reasonable compared to the rest of the market I looked at. In summary I believe I am now in control of my financial future, which is secure, and am very pleased Slater are helping me.
