Excellent range of both mainstream and fresh local produce. Staff are always attentive polite and well presented and the store is generally kept in good order as well. I particularly like the Bakery.

First visit since the post-fire rebuild. First impression: dark and dismal! Whoever thought a low black ceiling throughout the store was a good idea? Prices on several branded items were up to 20% higher than competitors. A delivery lorry had arrived and blocked several paired parking space exits. Fortunately no-one had parked behind me, but the adjacent car was blocked in completely; the store must have known delivery was imminent, so why not put some cones out? All in all: a very poor experience.

My son lost his bus pass here and they went out of their way to phone his school who then contacted us to let us know the co op had it. Very kind and decent of them to do that. I have lived here just over a year and use the co op regularly and I have never had an issue.

(Updated review to 3 stars as co op did find that they had taken an extra £20 and are refunding me it thakyou for resolving.) Please can you check your cameras on the 4th of January between 16:19 and 16:26 yesterday of me writing this. I sent my daughter to your shop in Denmead with £40 to purchase some food whilst my sister was going to the vets. My daughter proceeded to pay for the food to the cashier and gave her £40 which the cashier held up and checked both £20 notes, however the total of the food came to just under £15. When my daughter realised the cashier had given her the incorrect change, she immediately went and explained to the cashier of the mistake but the cashier proceded to call my daughter a lier and that she hadn't my daughter then quite distressed about the whole situation had told my sister, who then went and confirmed to the cashier she had given her £40 however the cashier still said that she hadn't. I have the receipt I also know the timings as my daughter rang me before and straight after. Can you please check this on your cctv and contact myself regarding this matter.

My girlfriend just went to the co op to buy medication for a sick baby and was told that 9.30-10.30 is elderly hour. She has had to sit in the car waiting for the shop to open. To top it all off she was then accused of stealing oranges which was not true and provided the receipt to prove this. What is wrong with your company sort it out!!!!

In light of what is the current situation, how can it be, that a lady of nearly 80 years, who just lost her husband of 60+ years only last week, be treated so appallingly by such a vile member of your staff. Visiting your store after her return from the hospital, where she spent nine days with her now deceased husband, to purchase two lots of loo rolls (pack of 4 - one for herself and one for her ailing older sister), two tins of pilchards and two loaves of bread does not constitute 'bulk' buying!!! Your staff member was a bully and should be ashamed of her actions... she's a disgrace and should allow people to explain their individual circumstances ...so much for community spirit in the smaller villages!
