Streamlining my accountancy records, fielding ad hoc questions, understanding me, my business and improving my overall tax position in a timely and professional manner.    I don’t post many reviews but feel I have to acknowledge the team at DJH. I’ve been with the guys since 2009 and always found them super helpful and professional. They also helped with a couple of business sales over the years. However, more recently they’ve assisted in a couple of tricky tax planning concerns and I’m happy to say have really put my mind at ease. Thanks guys, really appreciated.

   Moving away from DJH after several years of working together. Unfortunately, had same experience as other reviewers. Service used to be good but has drastically deteriorated. Attempt to charge fees before engagement letters have been signed and before fee structures have been shared, which is a breach of ICAEW's guidelines. Seem to care more about audit business.

   Unfortunately after nearly 20 years am having to move to another accountant. Poor customer service, poor efficiency. Since changing from Morris and Co things have gone very downhill. I have a different person every year no continuity and fees are high. Very quick to bill without even producing any accounts for me until I pointed this out to them. I do not appreciate being chased for a bill when you haven't even delivered the goods. I do not find them to be especially helpful and certainly the service is not personalised and bespoke to you as a client.

   I don't normally leave reviews, but felt compelled to do so following the service I have received. I thought I was engaging with a Professional reputable firm; all was good pre-sign-up. Since then, the service has been abysmal, to say the least, I have worked with many accountants throughout the UK during my business career and have to say this is the worst mid-sized firm I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with, I sincerely doubt it, but I do hope that my experience is a one off for the sake of all those businesses that rely on them.

   Service was fantastic when Chris was there. Since then, abysmal. Just been surprised with a huge tax bill and a fine for late payment because they told us several times the wrong amount to pay. I was paying you guys because I don't know about accounting. Glad to see the back of you.

   I never thought I would be writing a review like this as we were customers of DJH for over 35 years but I have to say that after receiving very poor service since January this year I made the decision to move our company and my personal accounts to another accountant. The time it took for the annual accounts to be completed was far too long and full of excuses as to why they were not done. At one point there was a rather an unprofessional comment made on their portal ( another irritating part of their service ) which I felt overstepped the mark. During the same timescale I also used them to take over our monthly accounts but they caused more issues and I have had to pay for another accountant to correct the errors. To top this I asked for one of the senior people to contact me, who did, then I had to chase the person twice to respond to his own emails with dates and times set by him, weeks later! Good luck to those who stay but certainly to us it became style over substance and there are better alternatives out there which are much cheaper !!
