A cover up 3 months ago when they pts a cat from a nearby cat rescue that got severely ill in rescue after just a few weeks! Zero empathy of the vet refusing to speak to me on the phone after. Have never been here and won't after this.
Arranged with the vets to have an assisted sedation for our very nervous dog for his castration - the team were fantastic. The young male vet was attentive and went slow with our dog. Our dog was treated as an individual case rather than a blanketed ‘drop off and collect at X time’, he can be a bit of a nightmare with his anxiety but the entire team acted in his best interests and let him come home rather than stress him out more in a kennel. I’m used to other vet practices over handling nervous animals and pushing their boundaries but I have only ever had positive experiences with The Gables since transferring to them. I feel like they genuinely care and advise the best treatment for your animals, they also don’t push you into unnecessary add ons, it’s all optional. I cannot thank the team enough for the level of care my animals receive from them, I highly recommend them to everyone. Thank you from myself and Lupin.
Don't use this vets put a healthy cat down because it had a growth on its mouth. Didn't stop it eating, made something up about a bad leg as well although it didn't limp and lived a normal life for years. Just liars, do not use they need shutting down
Great vetinary and they have been very good with my cat Gizmo and I would highly recommend this place with very efficient and friendly staff.

Was our vet for years and years. Happy to take our money for meds and treatment but as soon as we really needed them they said Barton was too far to travel. It's nearer than East Hull! We had to register with a different vet to have our beloved pet put to sleep. Disgraceful. Never the same since mick left.
I took my cat in for de matting as I have done for the last 4 years. I persificaly as for the quickest and cheapest de matting so they decide to do the dearest costing me double to what I normally pay wasn't happy take him somewhere else next year
Had to have my dog of 18 years put to sleep today and cannot express my feelings but the staff were absolutely great in both the care of my dog and myself. 10 out of 10 and will continue to use and recommend.
Well, they took some of my dog's teeth out (12yr old), looked after him really well (as all good vets should) and didn't charge a fortune.
