   Where to start with this hotel? Negatives: Really old decor in the room and the community corridors etc. Door frame was smashed in and looked like someone had crow barred their way in. Wallpaper was peeling off the wall. There were holes in the wall. Holes in the door. There were no towels in the bathroom (pub was closed so didn’t know who to ask for a towel, luckily my friend was in the room opposite who had towels.) The water pressure on the shower was very low. The “hot” water was at best tepid. The bathroom had a lot of mould. When I turned the shower on, I couldn’t turn it off without forcing the tap closed. The bed mattress with old, thin and I could feel the springs. The head board was an old board with the material peeling off. The wardrobe had no doors on it. The cabling for the TV was all over the place. Positives: Location was good for where I needed to be. The staff were helpful. Otherwise I’d avoid this place.

   Royal Pub is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy a drink. The staff were very polite and attentive, the atmosphere was warm and lively, and everything was clean and well organised. Will definitely be coming back!

   Absolute shocking. Had to wait 15 minutes for our room. Got into our room. Smells and untidy will not be using this again not got one good word to say about it is staff was unpolite they didn't tell us anything just said hazia keys

   Great location if working at Scunthorpe steel works but rooms are sadly poor old fashioned and shower had really low pressure so struggled to use it. Downstairs bar/pub very good.

   Great location. Good price. Staff were friendly and helpful, dealt with Chloe the most and she couldn't do enough for us and was bubbly, friendly and attentive to what we needed. Rooms need some attention. Paint, sealed baths and showers, windows which lock.

   Lovely spacious pub showing sport on the TV; really friendly, helpful staff, and the food's very good, and superb value for money. Everyone in the pub was really lovely with our 16 month old son. Highly recommended.

   Booking was quick and easy, with help given for booking a taxi. Breakfast was nicely cooked. All staff we met were friendly, helpful and efficient. Our room was spotlessly clean if a little tired. Unfortunately, the hotel areas and room overall needs some TLC and I must say I wasn't keen on the the double bed being against the wall meaning I had to climb over the bed to get into it.
