    It is with pleasure that I write this review... Just before Easter 2025, the carburretor on my Honda Shadow developed an intermittent leak, of a serious nature ... Just how serious..? Right next to a hot exhaust ..!! That serious..!! Major surgery was called for, and I duly removed the fuel tank and carb ... I had a number of jobs to address, and tried to locate a carb specialist in my particular area of the north-west ... My "go-to" specialist, ( In Preston ) had retired and the family firm ceased trading some years ago ... This had me searching for someone I could trust ... My search found Harper's Ultrasonic, after I was "led up the garden path" by a Manchester carb specialist, in the Cheetham Hill area of the city ... A text message to Mr Harper, brought a prompt reply ... and we spoke at length, of the possible fault, work needed, and the turn-around time, of possibly 6 weeks ... ( Yes, he has a lot of work in hand )... There is a good reason for that ... He was most agreeable to me delivering the carb to his place of work, outside of normal working hours, and collection being made when his work was done ... What a Star this man is ..!! Two weeks later, I got a message informing me that the job was completed , tested, and ready for re-fitting ...!!! First class service indeed ... As I collected this carb, Mr Harper mentioned to me that he had "high hopes" that it would perform exactly as when the bike rolled of the Honda production line ... Was he right ..? You bet he was ..!!! I only needed to adjust the tick-over ... and the test ride, ( and subsequent other rides ), were an absolute revelation.!! ... This guy knows his stuff, he is experienced, and genuinely loves his work ... Use his services with confidence, and please recommend him to others among motorcycling groups, and fraternity ...     Brilliant!! My Yamaha WR 400 wouldn't settle down to tickover, it was either stalling or revving it's head off so I decided it needed a good clean. Being a flatslide, I didn't really fancy stripping it myself. I found this place on the internet and decided to give Matt a call as he's fairly local.
