   Eye-opening Experience at Superdrug Bedford Harpur Centre My friend had a disheartening encounter at the Superdrug store in Bedford Harpur Centre, and I feel compelled to share her experience. As a Muslim woman who wears a jilbab, she felt unfairly targeted by three employees on May 14th, just before 5pm. When she entered the store with the Superdrug app open on her phone, she joined her sisters, one of whom was a hijabi adult and the other a Muslim teenager, in browsing the elf section. However, their shopping trip took a distressing turn when an employee began closely monitoring them and followed them to the tills. At the checkout, my friend noticed the cashier showing the products she intended to purchase to two other workers near the door, even though no other customers were present. Additionally, she overheard these employees discussing her via their headsets, adding to her discomfort. Despite being a regular customer, my friend had never experienced such treatment at this store before. Although she had seen these employees on previous visits, this time felt markedly different and deeply disheartening, especially considering her attire. This incident left her feeling unwelcome and discriminated against. I hope that by sharing her experience, Superdrug will take necessary steps to ensure that all customers are treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their appearance or background.

   I was in here today and heard a customer ask a member of staff for a shower curtain, staff member was super rude. English clearly wasn't his first language but it was obvious what he was looking for. Staff member asked him a couple of times and after returning to stacking her shelf alone she got on her headset and repeatedly mocked the accent and kept saying "shower cotton", acting like she couldn't understand him. Definitely will not be shopping here again with staff like this. Unbelievable. Will be ringing the manager in the morning, hoping the manager isn't actually this staff member. She 100% knew what she was doing, I gave her a few looks in the Isle and then again when she came over to the till area as I was leaving at which point her face said it all. If I wasn't already late for school pick up I would have said something there an then. Absolutely shocking.

   Because I have a number of health issues I visit here frequently to collect prescriptions. The service is sometimes slow but that's because they are busy and they take the time required to answer customer queries fully. The staff are professional, always polite and well trained.

   Pigeon Square. Don't go here if you aren't prepared to spend time waiting for your prescription. There is zero sense of urgency and a propensity for staff to chat to their mates rather than concentrate. I don't expect instant, but 30 minutes after being asked to wait as "it just needs to be checked" is a bit unreasonable. Seems to be a recent thing as I've never felt the need to comment before.
