Disgusting service Unfriendly staff, dirty, smelly changing rooms. Jacuzzi not working almost all the time and even when does- the water smells awful and dirty . To cancel membership without extra fees you have to provide them personal health information and proof it with the official note from doctors- which is absolutely not acceptable

This was our first time in Grimsby Bannatayne health club. There were a few options and I thought to give it a go.....Booked a couple spa day for me and my other half. The massage was bad. As soon as we went in the room was COLD. We told the ladies there it is cold, they said "they knew, tried to warm it up. But they cannot have a heater or heating inside the room whilst doing massages". They told us to get ready and lay down... We were covered by a small and thin towel...it was freezing! I asked for a second towel because I was cold and to cover my feet and they didn't. Massage was brief and more of a "stroke with oil", bad job. My partner comment was "girls are not properly trained or lack experiance". I am size 8, pretty small and it was weak even for me, I was cold and the masseuse hands were even more cold. I could see the heat evaporating from my body! I asked for more pressure and there was no improvement. My partner was polite, but we were very disappointed. When we got dressed and came out, I reiterated the room was very cold and we were cold. The ladies response was agreeing with us and stating "we know, it is rubbish". Sauna and steam room were fine. Changing facilities are veryyyyy tired and some pictures I see in these reviews of patchy paint and blocked sinks with hair is pretty accurate of what I saw. Go somewhere else, I will be asking for a refund for the massage. It was -2c outside and the room was unheated and freezing, not possible to relax or even feel warm, basic fundamentals. Definitely not compliant to the service being paid!

Had such a lovely afternoon here. Facilities have definitely had an upgrade since some of the poor reviews were posted. Demi and Summer in the spa treatments were absolutely fantastic. Enjoyed a really nice bacon butty and coffee for £5 in the cafe area. Highly recommend having a spa here.

At first glance, Bannatyne Health Club & Spa looked like a solid choice — but that impression didn’t last long. The facilities quickly showed signs of neglect and lack of investment. My wife was especially disappointed by the women’s changing and shower areas, which were genuinely poor and far from what you’d expect at a “premium” spa. We used the pool and sauna for the first four months, then never went back. The café was a major letdown: most of the food seemed microwaved, and the smoothies weren’t fresh. There was nothing premium about the place, despite the branding. The pool temperatures were all over the place, and calling it a “spa” feels overly generous. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because we didn’t use the gym long enough to give it a fair rating — otherwise, it would’ve been lower.

Everything is great except the restaurant which needs improvement. Doesn't really offer a restaurant menu. Which is a shame. What we have eaten off the menu has been good. Staff are great. Plenty of free parking even offering EV charging.

Great to see some investment in the facilities, replacement of sauna, male showering etc.. Fantastic achievement in these uncertain times. Staff and clients are friendly. The one down side is the pool temperature which has significantly dropped which is not a pleasant experience and guessing is only going to get worse as the temperature outside decreases. I'm all for saving money but in the right places

Lovely friendly club. All the facilities are kept clean and everything is easy to find. As a member you get lots of discounts on spa deals and sportswear. Often they do free samples of the elemis range which they use in spa. Pool is always warm and never too busy

Bought a virgin experience package for this spa for £90 , received access to the facilities and a trio of treatments, the facilities may be small however worth the money and the treatments where definitely the best part with the two young girls being professional, friendly and offering advice on skincare at the end of the session. I would also recommend booking the afternoon tea package in the restaurant/ cafe was ideal for both myself and mum. Lovely afternoon :)
