Needed an emergency appointment and although booked up Mac (Vet) gave me a time to comedown. I thought I was going to lose my dog but Mac was able to treat him successfully. Amazing Vet - thank you so much

Not only is he an excellent diagnostic professional, his inter personal and human skills are just, well, outstanding.
Have been using Island Vets for my pets since moving to Stafford over 20 years ago. Have always been pleased with the care and treatment they have received. Needed to take my cat Eric due to him having a sore paw. We, along with Eric felt welcomed and were put at ease. Eric was given a thorough health check upon arrival. He had some medication prescribed to him. Clear instructions regarding the meds and care were given to us. The practice has recently relocated. Love how there are separate waiting areas for cats and dogs. Keep up the good work!

*** DO NOT RECOMMEND *** We were with the island vets for years and they were okay until the previous owner passed the business on to what I believe were his 2 sons. They stopped caring about animal welfare and started thinking solely about money. We were told there was nothing we could do for our cocker spaniel and she needed to be put to sleep. Despite the vet not being able to tell us what was wrong or why she was being out to sleep. The issue came in the coming days. We said we wanted her cremated please and signed forms and then left and went home to grieve. Over a week later we were upset that our dog wasn’t back home with us as promised so we contacted them and they said oh Lizzie is still here, we didn’t know what to do with her… We had specifically asked for her to be cremated and signed a form saying we would (no surprise they charged for it so they did know, they just messed up). We were lied to by one of the receptionists who said Lizzie wasn’t there any more and had been taken to be cremated but when my dad kicked off we found out Lizzie was still sat there in a freezer just doing nothing and she was nearly sent for a group cremation if we hadn’t phoned back and kicked off. We contacted Holmes in Heaven who were appalled at our experiences with the island. They were perfect and picked Lizzie up from the island then cremated her and gave us her back in a couple of days with her ashes in a frame and a little box that had her paw print in. Make sure to look for them if you ever unfortunately need a cremation service. The island will just charge you expensive prices for no care. I’m surprised they haven’t put an entry fee on the front door just to sit on their red benches. Do not trust these owners. It all went downhill after the old man passed the business over.
