   Honest review.. I don’t think I’ll bring Johnny back. The lady seemed nice and all, but the state of Johnny was truly questionable. He was wet when she brought him, his carrier had water on top. I never saw him that scared. He lost a lot of weight. He usually spends all day outside. Today was warm and sunny, but he refused to stay more than a minute alone. He was looking for comfort like a frightened child, I never saw him being this “clingy”. But him being wet made me wonder. I never saw where my cat stayed, as she took him and brought him as well (I don’t know how she managed to put him in his carrier honestly because I know Johnny). This isn’t his first time in a cattery so if there is any explanation for why Johnny was like that, please do let me know.

   Just moved to this area and was looking for a local cattery to board my cat. Despite it saying on Steps Cattery website that clients were welcome to arrange a viewing of the premises prior to making a booking, when I rang to do this the person who answered the phone hummed and aahed, not sounding like it was something they wanted us to do, and tried to put me off by suggesting I look at their Facebook page instead, which would show me everything I needed to know. Not a very helpful attitude and gives an impression that if they aren't keen on you looking around they must have something to hide. So they lost a prospective new customer. Won't bother getting in touch again and will look for another cattery.

   Cats are always looked after well by Tracey. Pens are large and spacious and have 3 areas for the cats to roam into. Mine share and are not cramped at all.

   My cat was well looked after here, very impressed with the service. The owner Tracey is friendly and I feel confident leaving my cat in her care. The pens are spacious and heated, can honestly say my cat loved her stay. Wouldn't hesitate to use again when I next go on holiday!
