An absolutely amazing location. The hosts can’t do enough, the rooms are impossible to fault and the entire stay was incredible and memorable for my family. The reviews about flies and the smell are ludicrous for anyone who wants to stay on a working farm. We had three flies but we killed them all if it helps. The smell is part of the experience , if you want it to smell of Versace, go and stay in an airport lounge. My children were totally made to feel part of the experience and the cottage and beds are so warm and cosy. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this or stay again. Thanks Sally and Co x

The cottage is well equipped and toasty warm, on a farm with lots of animals you can easily see for yourself. Kids will love it. Decent WiFi, comfy sofas, Freeview tv, beds were comfortable. Great location for doing Chester/Zoo, Shrewsbury, Llangollen, Port Sunlight and Liverpool. We were in the Corn Lodge, the pictures on the site do not show it's true location. It was attached to a barn that held 5 bulls and opposite another barn with a large amount of cows and calves. If you opened the window the smell was terrible so we couldn't open them. Flies were also terrible due to the location so close to the animals. The bulls actually broke free one morning and we're chasing about butting and kicking each other very close to the cars and houses. It could have been very dangerous if anyone had been outside. Despite being on the farm the owners never came around once to say hello which was very odd. Communication was none existent, we called twice but no response. Could have been great but ultimately a little bit disappointed

What a lovely place! So easy to find and lots of animals like donkeys, cows, sheep, goats, chickens and more! The owners are very welcoming and the property we are staying in (drovers barn) is really nice too! The surprise of some rocky roads in the kitchen upon arrival was a lovely touch :)

3rd time staying here - is so good I can see why everyone comes back. Idyllic for kids who Lloyd, Sally-Ann and Dave very kindly involve in feeding etc. Accommodation is great - clean and cosy. And being able to wander out and watch lambs being born is amazing.

A lovely place to stay so quiet. The fresh milk and rockie road was a lovely touch. Not far from Chester, the zoo . We stayed in the corn store cottage. The family was extremely friendly. It was just my daughter and myself and we would happily go again

The only unfortunate thing about our stay at Millmoor Farm was that it was only 3 days long and we wanted more. Our stay was practically perfect in every way. The cottage had everything we needed. We did not have a smart TV to watch a bit of netflix but that turned out to be a good thing because we simply spent our evenings chatting and drinking tea. We had everything we needed for our kids including an 8-month and 18-month old and the backyard with swings and gorgeous view was perfect for them. We ordered breakfast for one morning it was delicious especially the orange juice! The house had everything we needed and my only recommendation would be for a thorough clean under the comfy sofas because when our kids toys rolled under them, it was too dusty. The surrounding was perfect and absolutely stunning. You can equally tell that the animals are well looked after and cared for. The holiday was peaceful and quiet even though we were on a working farm. We only wish we had more time on the farm but we are already checking our calendar to book again! Cannot wait to re-visit and we genuinely hope to make it an annual thing.

Wonderful stay with very friendly and knowledgeable hosts who passed on some lovely stories of their farming. Well appointed and comfortable cottage. Was a really nice break to recharge the batteries.

This has to be the best self catering accommodation we have had. Very well appointed and everything had a quality feel to it. Our hosts Sally and David were very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area and made us very welcome. The farm has a great variety of animals. Even the cat came to say hello. There are many enjoyable walks from the farm or nearby. The farms location makes for easy exploration of the area with Liverpool Chester and Snowdonia enjoyable days out.

There are not enough superlatives to say how wonderful our stay was. It is a wonderful peaceful place, our 2 collies loved it as much as we did. Our cottage was fully equipped, clean, and warm. We highly recommend this farm to everyone and we shall be back the first chance we get.

Staying in Drovers Barn, superb place, very clean and very well appointed. Really comfy sofas, wonderful beds, very quiet. Very helpful, knowledgeable staff on the farm. So lovely to see the animals and they are so well cared for. A piece of heaven in the countryside, only 3 miles from the lovely village of Malpas. We highly recommend here. Tony & Helen Coffey.
