We chose Dougals after a bad experience with another groomer. They're really good with our boy Pogo, he can be a bit of a handful and doesn't like being groomed, but they always do an amazing job. He comes away silky soft and smells amazing!
I've just moved to the area & wanted somewhere that catered for a very independent non socialised rescue dog....(He has to be muzzled). After a lovely chat I booked him in for his treat... I nervously left him and came back after an hour to a tail wagging..no muzzle...clean little happy lad.. Impressive and I was happy with the results... Definitely a keeper...!

Rang to book my 8 month old cockapoo in for nail clipping and ear clean. They were able to do it almost straightaway. My young cockapoo hates having anything done to her and will bite so needs a muzzle. However, after one attempt to bite and a good telling off from the groomer, she was as good as gold. I will definitely be taking her back.

My dogs returned from Dougals sporting a look that was quite different, resembling ploughed fields where the outer edges had been left for wildlife to forage. It’s not the look I was expecting, their legs and rears are very hairy and one of them looks like she’s wearing a chest wig. Like I say, different!
Update: Have been using this service for over 6 years and still consistently delighted with the service and results. My dog can be nervous due to being attacked in the past but he always comes back full of beans and proud of his cut. I can't rate any higher than to say I think a 15 out of 10 would be unjust.
