I have walked along here many a time and would say it is an excellent public ground to visit with several walks, some short and some long, one taking you towards Lightwood and Eaves Lane via Noga's Pool. Be aware that some people walk their dogs off a lead and can be an irritant! Also note that one narrow pathway at the top of Sandy Lane (on entering the common next to the kissing gate) has broken glass so be cautious when taking your dog up there. I have taken footage of both Stonechats and a Songthrush up here as well as the occasional Buzzard and female Kestrel.

I come here everyday to walk my girls. Besides it being muddy (what do you expect) it's a fantastic place to go.

Small carpark with info boards, bins and picnic benches, Good views, lots of wildlife, some good paths and some just mowed into the heather/grass moor so can change throughout with the weather.

I walk on the common every day with my dog and have walked there for over 30 yrs enjoying the views. I love it and think we are very fortunate in Werrington to have the opportunity to do so.
