“What a place, I’ve never been to an independent pub with such welcoming vibes. I couldn’t recommend this place more. Great selection of beers, wine and spirits. The staff are great and the owner seems to know what she’s doing!”

“Great spot for a spot of dinner. I had homemade cottage pie with onion and cheese mash topping, lashings of gravy, chips and peas! Absolutely massive portions. The cafe had a lively atmosphere with plenty of locals and tradesmen coming in for coffee and butties. The staff were brilliant; polite, courteous and very accommodating. If you're looking for great quality food at a reasonable price you can't go far wrong with Care @ 19!”

“Admittedly I hadn't been to Shibden Park in about 30 years, so it was nice to call in here for breakfast on our bank holiday weekend visit to my homeland. My partner had the large breakfast, which for the price was excellent. Lovely hashbrown! My teen daughter had the medium and I had a bagel and creme cheese. We have cappuccinos and an English tea. Plenty of seating outside and in, dog friendly both inside and out too. I am pleased I got to experience the cafe and park again in a less busy climate. Beautiful place full of memories ✨️”

“On a late Sunday morning in an unfamiliar area, this was a great find for a hungry couple. Basic seating, a few crumbs on the seat, and an smell of fry up ambience... BUT absolutely the very best toasties that we have ever had in our lives! And for the price, possibly the best value for money in Halifax (later dinner in a local Italian with raving reviews, left us flat...). We will most definitely return when we are back in the area. “This review is for Morrisons Illingworth. The food was better, & the portion a little more, than I expected (I would not have got dessert had I realised). It was later afternoon/early evening & I feared they may have stopped serving... Not only did I manage to get a meal, but the staff were outstanding; they could not have been better! “Lovely little 'taproom' of a pub with Halifax Steam brews & decor inside. There's a small car park, and the pub itself is in a shipping container type add on to the brewery. The service is wonderful, kind, and child friendly. Prices & selection are decent & interesting. Would definitely return again, and our daughter loved the quirky fishtank bar. Thank you!”
