“A small theatre, offering both new plays and work by established dramatists. We saw an excellent production of Champion by Ishy Din, two months ago. Yesterday, we went to see Josie Lawrence in her one woman, improvised, show. A great evening at the theatre. The theatre is on the quayside, close to plenty of places to eat. Parking at the Quayside multi storey is only five minutes away, and it's free parking after 6pm.”

“Our daughter is ready to start primary school in September and has been going to Giant Leap since she was just five months old! We have always found staff to be very friendly, welcoming and generally brilliant with our daughter especially with learning to adapt to change (moving rooms) and especially in the latest room in developing skills ready for school, such as phonics. Amanda in particular in the baby room was just amazing from start to finish! We remember just how amazing she was even now, a few years on. Amanda was extremely caring and just gave you all the time you needed to feel secure that your little one was well looked after. Dani in the last room has always been super attentive with our daughter (and she always talks about Dani and what mischief they’ve been up too!) and is always on hand to help where needed. Elle who deals with the Accounts has just been our “go to” for the entire time. No query goes unanswered (and we have had many of the years) and she’s always super helpful when it comes to querying the headache that is tax free childcare and Government funded hours! The staff do a brilliant job - our daughter has consistently enjoyed nursery and there is absolutely no doubt that nursery has made a huge impact on her learning and development over the years and will certainly stand her in good stead for the big challenge in September. Our daughter will be sad to leave, as we will be said for he but unfortunately our kids have to grow up into the big wide world - well, until the school holidays and I can use Go Outdoors holiday club! For anyone considering sending their child to Giant Leap, I couldn’t recommend enough. Take the “leap” (excuse the pun), you will not regret it.”

“Like a home from home! Been coming here for a couple of years now and my kid loves it, and I do too. Lots of thought out areas that foster imaginative play. Staff are so kind and friendly. Food is very reasonably priced, wholesome and comes with veggies/fruit which is great for the little ones. Always good music on too! Parking is a challenge due to the nature of the site, so just be prepared to have to park a bit further away when busy.”

The music was brilliant too - the sweetie song (naming all the different sweets & chocs) and the medley (between spite and cupid) were real highlights. Loved the audience interaction and the jokes. LBT is our favourite venue, its big enough to feel grand and have a great atmosphere but small enough to easily see what's going on and feel intimate. We're so pleased to have this on our doorstep”

I didn’t love the vibe upstairs—it felt a bit flat—so I’d recommend asking for a table downstairs to enjoy the open fire, the beautiful architecture, and the buzz.”

“Really great soft play. Its fairly small but really well laid out and perfect for the younger end of toddlers. Really cheap, clean, easy to park. Food wise I'd say is fairly basic but it's again well priced. Just a great place to have locally in Holmfirth.”

We have recently completed a baby massage course with Katie which we loved. She takes photos of you and your baby and sends them all to you at the end which is such a lovely touch! Katie is so lovely, so friendly and very welcoming. We just signed up for baby yoga too, with additional time to play included, its great value and a lovely place to meet other mums.
