The staff were welcoming and friendly, and it’s the best value-for-money takeaway bag I’ve had. My daughter was also saying it was the place to go when in Brighton. Highly recommend!”

“Such a great place to eat! Unpretentious, tasty, freshly cooked food made and served by a fantastic staff. There are options for a variety of customers (personal favourites are the haloumi salad and the vegan breakfast). I can't imagine anyone not feeling welcome and well fed here.”

“We were really impressed with our Sunday lunch.. both the beef and nut roast were lovely with a great selection of veg ( not overcooked as is often the case in your standard pub lunch ). Accompanied by a crispy home made Yorkshire. We brought our own wine (£6 corkage).. Dessert a choice of Pavalova or Blackberry /Apple crumble - generous portions. We are in the rear garden that offered sun & shade and we had a 2 piece jazz band for company. A really nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon.”

It’s dog friendly, beautifully decorated and a lovely atmosphere. Coffee on point too. Just trust me and go here, you won’t be disappointed.”

Shared with husband - 3 sides and a hot main (stuffed aubergine with new potato salad, sweet potatos and mushrooms and spinach). The serving sizes were a real surprise at first then the taste was even better. Hoping to return!”

“A haven of calm after a walk round the town. So many cafes were very busy and queues outside. The staff are lovely and very efficient so our sandwiches were brought to the table soon after ordering. One delicious prawn sandwich for me and a smoked salmon cream cheese one for my daughter. And a good cup of tea! : )”

“Really great breakfast, had the 2 egg option with sides and some of those homemade potatoes (which were gorgeous). The beans had a lovely cajun, smokey taste and the eggs were poached perfectly. Plus Sourdough! Sitting outside on the picnic bench was a perfect way to start the day and watch as Brighton rouses itself. Booking recommended (especially for breakfast). Staff were all courteous and professional. No complaints!”

“Just had a brilliant and kind experience. We bought the cheese burger for my son and there was burger relish on it which upset my son as he wasn’t expecting and didn’t like it so he refused to eat. I nervously asked the chef for a replacement because my son is autistic and refused to eat it. He immediately said ‘say no more - I totally understand’ and cooked us a fresh plain burger. We are so grateful and my son was so happy. It tastes great too!! Thank you for helping us all avoid a meltdown!”

“Got a delivery from here. Really delicious burgers. Sadly they had run out of halloumi fries so could only provide a couple, but they made up for this with an extra drink and some chocolate bars. That's great customer service. Will definitely order from here from the future.”
