“We lucked into the most magical day on our Cotswolds tour with Chris as our guide! What to say? We were excited for it but the tour so exceeded even our most hopeful expectations. Chris brought us to several villages-- and on the fly curated the trip around our expressed interests and those of the additional guest (who was also an amazing human and like a friend by the end of the tour!). He is unbelievably knowledgable. But what sets Chris apart is the way he distills complex history into an understandable story that very quickly facilitates enhanced appreciation for the deep significance of these places beyond their obvious beauty. I took pages of notes and came away with an intense desire to learn more about the place and British history. As an added bonus, Chris is funny, witty, helpful, kind, and interested. He is passionate about history and traveling and that all just enhanced is story telling. It truly was an experience of a lifetime and we are so grateful to Chris for that gift. On the more business like side-- pick up was prompt, van was great, water appreciated, tea and lunch spots authentic and wonderfully charming. “Lisa is a lovely host, so friendly and so attentive making sure we had everything we needed - it really felt like she added a nice personal touch to everything about the place, and she's willing to go the extra mile to ensure you have a perfect stay. She was more than happy to arrange an early check-in for us which was a life saver for our plans. Immaculately clean, modern and cosy, the best facilities you could ask for (amazing shower, Smart TV, mini fridge, snacks & drinks, fan etc), and we both felt the bed was the comfiest we'd ever slept in! Good location also - never difficult to book an Uber/taxi and not far from the airport or city/train station. I can't think of any improvements I'd suggest whatsoever. Really can't fault this place, it's everything we needed and more! I'd definitely recommend it to anyone :)”

“Tim facilitated an amazing private SUP tour of Bristol Harbor for me and my friend. The whole booking process was a breeze and on the day itself the faculties were great. Tim was a wonderful guide, freely giving me technical tips to improve my technique even though it wasn’t officially a lesson. I appreciated the added value and I so enjoyed the entire session. If I lived in Bristol I think I’d be down here paddling every week. It’s such a chill, calming activity - Everyone should try paddle boarding with SUP Bristol!!!”

“Amazing location for walking. The friendliest of welcomes. Very nice setup with guest area for making drinks and also a nice place to sit and enjoy the views, and on this occasion the new lambs. Everything you could need. The room was beautifully decorated. Dinner was by far the best quality of the whole trip. Hearty portion too. Immaculately clean rooms. Breakfast was carefully prepared according to request taken the previous evening. If you’re looking for a standout stay we suggest you book now.”

We hadn't been to Chepstow for some time but the building has been transformed in recent years and is a credit to the town.. Interior is clean, light and airy. “We stayed here for one night as we were travelling down south for a wedding. Communication with Pauline was fabulous and the room was absolutely lovely with everything we needed and there was also a kitchen area and a lounge area where you could get tea and coffee. Bed was very comfy and room was very cool which was needed as it was very hot outside. Pauline was very welcoming and helpful and the perfect pit stop for us. We would definitely recommend.”

“We stayed for 2 nights at The Yard after our wedding and it was great. The location is fantastic and very central which makes walking to the city centre easy. The rooms are nicely finished and clean with a great bathroom. Really comfortable beds and in a very quiet location too.”

“We find the hotel very good. A few minor things stopped us giving 10/10 in all categories. 15 mins easy walk from Temple Meads station. We didn't eat there this time however we have in the past and the food was excellent. The reception staff are very helpful and there is a nice relaxing atmosphere in the bar. Overall very good. Will stay again no doubt!”

“We stayed here as it was 300 yards away from the Bristol Heart Institute where my son was having a procedure, it is one of the best apartment that I have stayed in Bristol, it had everything that you needed! The place was spotless , everything about it was perfect, the kitchen was fully equipped with plenty of tea and coffee , the beds were so comfy , the living room with comfy sofas and a large dining table which was very light and airy , and the added bonus of parking on site as parking can be an issue in Bristol . Beautiful apartment thank you!!”

So near to town attractions. Great open plan apartment with comfy bed, fully equipped kitchen and shower room. Would definitely stay again.”

“Hotel is excellent, rooms emaculate, so clean. Every detail taken care of beautiful soap, shampoo and conditioner. Also, have hairdryer and straighteners which was brilliant. Right off the bat, Usman was really easy to communicate with, had all the information I needed during the viewings and application process, which made everything so much easier. Then I got to meet the team; Usman, Seb, and Adil are all very friendly, polite, and really did go the extra mile to help me settle into my new place. The welcome box of treats is a nice touch. Requests for repairs were actioned immediately, and my issue was resolved the following day. Communications has also been great, I've been kept informed on important contacts should I need them during the holiday season. What more could one ask for really? 10/10 would rent with them again.”

“Lovely place. You'll find in the kitchen everything you need. Bed are super comfy too. Set of towels are provided for each person. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate. Very clean. A bit far from Bristol town centre by walk but if you have a car it is only 15 minutes drive.”

“Lovely and remote venue located in a fantastic surrounding. Fully equipped for all your needs and all the rooms having ensuite was a fantastic addition. We walked up to the temple inn for food which is about a mile away. Will definitely plan on returning in the future.”

“This was our second Christmas stay. 3 years ago Christmas Day was pretty chaotic but overall we enjoyed our stay so much that we were quite happy to go back. The room, the service, the staff, the restaurant was excellent. Christmas Day service from Buddy The Elf (Cosmin), Alessandro (Alex) and *all* the staff in the restaurant was superb. I rarely write reviews and am accustomed to moaning about lack of service these days so feel duty bound to say a really big thank you given that we were so well looked after by everyone at The Hotel du Vin Bristol City. “Second time I’ve stayed in this hostel and I love it! The staff is incredibly lovely and helpful, they make you feel at home. The first time I had a private room and it was perfect. The second time I stayed in a shared room and it was a bit small and awkward having 3 level bunk beds, it was definitely harder to get good sleep but still an overall nice experience.”

“We had a very pleasant stay here over a weekend in October 2024. There were 10 of us so had to book the Deluxe apartment and a three-bedroom house too. It was very easy to coordinate with the staff and checking in was a breeze. They showed us the parking spaces and briefed about the gate operations too. The rooms, sitting areas and the toilets were very clean and well-kept. Bread, milk, butter, jam and cereal were available too for breakfast. This place is located in a nice area surrounded by a lot of greenery and farm animals. Definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a calm stay at a reasonable price”

“My partner and I have stayed here twice now and it never disappoints. This week and back last year for a city break. The staff there are always welcoming in a friendly manner. The rooms we stayed in are always clean and presentable too. The hotel is in a perfect spot of the city because you’ve got Brewers Fare next door, close to two shopping centres, restaurants, a Odeon cinema up the road and lots of nice destinations to visit for tourists. I totally recommend it!”
