“Really good burger spot. I stumbled across it when visiting my boy in hospital as it's just up the road. Delicious chicken burger, very nice cider on tap. Very friendly and helpful team. Can't wait to go back and try the beef.”

“We have been here a few times now and our favourite thing is the aubergines and the marinated anchovies. We had a botifarra sausage dish with beans but the beans were not cooked enough. The aubergines with molasses were iconic as always. The tortilla de patatas got mixed reviews (no onions or seasoned enough). The girls loved the two desserts although one of them noticed that the basque cheesecake was a New York cheesecake not a basque one - indeed. The girls also love their drinks. The atmosphere is banging and because it’s a small place it gets very cosy.”

“The place to come if you want to drink an espresso while sitting on a swing (though those 2 tables tend to be the most popular). A bit too small to get the laptop out, but perfect place to meet friends and have a catch up. Good selection of boardgames too!”

“Came to the Wackum today and thoroughly enjoyed my visit. I was served by Leah who was very welcoming and gave extremely good service even though it was my first time visiting the pub. Had the two course meal with my friend consisting of a lasagne and fish and chips. Both meals were cooked to perfection by the chef Damion and were hot and very tasty. I finished off the meal by enjoying an apple crumble. I was amazed at the value of the food in a really modern and comfortable pub setting. It surprised me as it was completely differently from what the outside suggests. Thankyou to the team members for treating me like someone they had met many times. Me and my friend will definitely be returning on a regular basis. We since have returned and really pleasantly surprised that the atmosphere and service is exactly the same. Thankyou to all the Wackum team who work so hard.”

“Our absolute favourite Cafe in Bristol. Cinnamon buns to die for, seasonal salad that is sooooo delicious both my children request their own fed bowl when we visit. Great coffee. Always service with a smile. The seating area is limited but the clientele are quite happy to share tables.”

“Amazing food! I had the scallops, then duck, and then the chocolate ganache to finish - all dishes were very delicious and cooked well. The cheese board also has a great selection of cheeses, and they give you a mountain of crackers. The staff were also lovely and attentive. The appetizers they selected for us were all delicious and accommodated diet restrictions as well. “What a gem this place is. We booked a table for our honeymoon and were treated like royalty. A front window table, and top notch service. Being Gluten Intolerant my menu had been marked specifically for my needs, and was given the utmost care and thoughtfulness. The olives to start were plump, garlicky and smokey. The food when it arrived was amazing. The ocean bream was crisp, and the samphire and saffron sauce just delicious. We literally mopped up our plates. The steak was tender, the the panne cotta and chocolate torte with poached plum just absolutely delicious. Amarelle who served us was sweet, knowledgeable, and attentive. What a lovely restaurant - a must visit.”

“Would definitely recommend this place for meals if you are visiting Bath. They serve very nicely cooked meals and have a nicely decorated environment for you to enjoy your meal. Must try their signature 3x handplyed scallop, with the green sauce and lemon, fresh and nicely cooked. They offer lunch set which we can have refillable yorkshire tea with a main course. Their cod fillet is fresh and juicy, with the green paste and sauce together, just perfect. Salmon fishcake is another recommended dish if you like salmon. Different texture but still nicely cooked. Overall portion is big together with the potato. It’s a gem in Bath. We were seated on the open terrace, which can directly feel the chill in the air and direct sunlight. Mint chocolates come with the bill box is just nice as well. The waiter and waitress were very responsive and friendly from seating until leaving. Pet friendly restaurant”
